    Poor sales

I also had both and that's why I ended up selling both too... I needed a bike that can "do it all". I bought a '16 FJ-09 last year. It is lighter than the NC700X by 20 pounds and quicker than a ST (2.9s vs 3.5s). It feels as light as the NC (with better ergos for me...) but has the power of a...

    my bike

MT09 (Euro) and FZ09 (US) are the naked versions with the CP3 engines. MT09 Tracer (Euro) and FJ09 (US) are the dressed version with the CP3 engines. I believe same theory goes for the 07 but with the parallel-twin (74 HP) instead of the CP3 Triple (115 HP).

    my bike

Traded my 2012 NC for a 2016 FJ09 back in October... That's why I haven't been very active on this forum since then. The NC was great for what it was. I've ridden it for 4 years but it wasn't giving me that riding smile anymore for the last two years. For me, the FJ has better ergos, better...

    Sjcam???

I have a Sjcam M20 permanently mounted on my NC. As for the USB charging cable, well, I drilled the case... I made the hole very precisely with a Dremel tool so when the connector is in place, it is so thight that no water may get in there. There are two features that you may want to take a...

    3 Days Ride around Gaspésie

That was pretty much what I had in my mind when I saw that red stripe on the front tire. Thinking about it, it may be a good thing for the NC community that you didn't tried it.

    3 Days Ride around Gaspésie

I did that exact same ride last year (mid-August). I was lucky, not a single drop of water, temperature went up to 33°C. I ended up doing around 1800 Km when I got back home. My brother-in-law also did it two weeks before me... It was around 9-10°C all the time with freakin rain the entire...

Turn signal relay for LED turn signals

I did a while ago, still working great. 10 minutes removal, 10 minutes modification, 10 minutes reinstall. Cost: free. http://nc700-forum.com/forum/nc700-news/356-1156-led-replacement-bulb-review-2.html#post34862

    700 vs.750

Yup, i did that on my 08' GL1800. I tapped on that gear position sensor and programmed a little PIC16C54 to display the gear position on a 7 segment BCD display hidden behing the left mirror. It was a fun little project but totally useless ;-)

    700 vs.750

No hard ? As an electronic assembly programmer, I find this statement very interesting... I know how aftermarker systems works, but OEM gear indicators never relies on "guessing" to display something. Every bike that have an OEM gear indicator can display that gear without moving, so they DO NOT...

    700 vs.750

No, sorry. The "old" manual version only has a neutral switch, nothing else. The bike doesn't have a clue in which gear you're riding. The dash is shared between the manual / DCT, that's the reason why you see the dimmed "8" in there.

    Adjustable Levers

Got the same from day 1 with the NC. 5 minute install and since they are short, I am able to use the clutch and brake levers with only one or two fingers.

What GPS do you use ?

I tried all kind of GPS devices on my motorcycles, including the high end Zumo 660LM and 350LM, but my favorite is still an old Tomtom Rider hardwired to the bike. It powers straight up following the ignition without any useless warning you need to acknowledge, plus the "motorcycle twisty road"...

Danmoto vs. Stock muffler w/ video

I asked Google: 13. What does the term "CRES" mean? Answer: CRES is something used to designate stainless steel. It stands for Corrosion RESistant steel. It does not necessarily mean that the steel is in fact stainless steel as there are other materials that are corrosion resistant but not...
