Just to clarify, a mesh unit can communicate directly to other mesh units without a BT phone connection, acting like a stand alone two way radio but in order to listen to audio from a phone or control the various features and functions of the helmet unit they use a BT connection.
@NEBoston, in my opinion Cardo or Sena hinges on whether you ride in a group and what brand the others use in the group. I agree the built-in units in the Neotec don't seem to get good reviews but I've only used clamp-on Sena products (10S, 20S, 50S with boom mikes) because the few other guys I...
I don't think Sena uses the 10S's type of click-tab mount for any unit produced and sold anymore. You can still get that model FWIW we have one on my wife's helmet from 2017.
Yes, I like it. I traveled like that for a year or two with just a top box and roll top duffle secured with two crossed Rok Straps. I found it no more trouble than removing a tank bag to fuel a traditional gas tank.
It's a good thing that we all don't live in the same place and "need" 150 hp to feel safe. Riding a NC700X 8 hours and 450 miles through wooded farmland to the Smokies for a few days of riding is very different than blasting triple digits across flatlands.
Even in the low revving NC motor the plugs fire more often than plugs in the average car or light truck. The engine in my little Honda Fit turns far less rpms at highway speed than my NC does. Honda has their reasons why the maintenance schedule is what it is. For the most part I follow those...
If the information I got when I worked in a Honda dealer was correct only 2000 of the NM4 Vultus were imported into the US over two model years. Most or all dealers only got 1 example and they didn't take long to sell. I've only seen two or three out being ridden.
I have the Motion Pro alignment tool mentioned by @670cc and I also use the 'gun sight' method to sight the chain by eye by looking at the chain's alignment sprocket to sprocket from the rear. Even a slight curve to either side is easy to see without the tool. I never use swing arm marks.
I rented a Sierra several years ago and the ride and handling was atrocious. It hopped, skipped, rolled and juggled on bumpy roads and around corners. I know it wasn’t a top line model but if there are pickup trucks in He** I know the make and model.
I’ve had three NCs equipped with Givi racks/luggage, SW Motech racks/Givi luggage, and Honda luggage. Each had likes and dislikes for me and each would do the trick for me if I didn’t know about the others. Of the three my favorite was SW Motech quick detachable racks, Givi 36 liter side cases...
Nice truck, there mzflorida. My son in law likes Ram trucks. He has a 1500 daily driver and when they bought a 22' camper he found a 2500 diesel for towing. It had 299,000 miles on it but it belonged to a guy that had a business delivering campers from factories to RV dealers and the miles were...
