Be aware that when Honda offers an electrical accessory, there may be 1 or 2 more accessories you have to buy from them to make the first one work. Also, most Honda accessory 12 volt outlets are limited to 1 amp, and in my opinion and for my usage, pretty worthless.
It never ceases to amaze me...
I believe the LiFePO4 chemistry used of late has greatly mitigated the occasional thermal runaway fires we heard of with earlier lithium battery designs.
Most lithium battery packs, including the NOCO, have internal electronics to prevent over charging, discharging, etc. There is more to them...
I am currently running a test of Pirelli MT60 tires on my NC. I bought a pair of new MT60s at reduced price from a forum member. These tires are the most short lived I have ever put on my NC, and have no attributes that make them special to me or worth their price. The rear is worn out at 6000...
I won’t know what “so many issues” you refer to, unless you specify. Since self discharge rates on lithium (NOCO chemistry is LiFePO4) are low, and they can tolerate deeper discharge compared to lead acid, you can simply disconnect the battery in the motorcycle if you have concerns. The battery...
It was cloudy and mild (65-70F) yesterday and today, and I couldn’t pass up a good chance to ride. So I just look at the lines and shapes on the Garmin GPS and go where it looks interesting. I covered 250 miles. I’m also trying to wear out the rear tire which is getting close to the cords in the...
Attempt to adjust the parking brake at the caliper. See photo of service manual attached. If proper hold cannot be achieved, replace parking brake pads.
I would have expected that Honda had made the NC parking brake stronger, or interlocked it electrically so the bike couldn't be ridden with...
I understand you may prefer hard copy, but you can download an owner’s manual for free from Honda.

If, when you stop in gear with the cutch lever pulled, and the bike is not tugging forward, then the clutch must be disengaging. You should still check the clutch cable for proper adjustment. Your 2013’s owner’smanual should have a section on adjusting the clutch lever freeplay
Check and lube...
Yes, the NCX is unpopular in North America. The model has already been eliminated from the Canadian Honda lineup. For the US market, the manual model is now gone. Even in the beginning, the USA would get one, maybe in rare years two color choices, but the Europeans would get four colors to pick...
In stock form, the rider ergos of the NC has the rider leaning forward, and pegs are more rearward than on a touring bike such as a Goldwing. I have a ‘Wing and an NC; the peg placements are definitely different.
People that want what they regard as best chain alignment often use a tool that clamps to the rear sprocket. It has a long pin on it that is used to sight forward down the chain to the front sprocket. The idea is that if the two sprockets are in alignment, and the chain runs parallel to the rear...
The number of cylinders is irrelevant. The engine revolutions per mile or km would determine how may times a spark plug fires over a traveled distance. It wouldn’t matter to a given plug whether there are two cylinders or ten. Also a factor is whether the plug fires every crank rotation or every...
Well, that’s good, and it’s good that you analyzed the usability before buying the truck. I have a van that I much preferred over the truck for runs to the home center, and other hauling, and I also have a cargo trailer/mini camper toy hauler. I tow my boat and small camper with the van. We have...
I don’t know what model year you have. On pre-‘16 models, you can lower the sidestand with transmission in neutral and the engine running, and the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) will flash out the DTC on the dash. Since Honda took that away, access to the fault codes can be gained, at least on...
I’ll second davidc83’s suggestion about checking the final drive chain. Just yesterday my NC, with a very old chain, developed the knock again. It‘s a very loud knock/thump at seemingly random intervals when riding at low speed, clearly audible over engine sound and through ear plugs. It may...
I have never once wanted to put a helmet in my 2012’s frunk. The frunk is full of other essentials all the time. Helmet not fitting in frunk would not break a deal on an otherwise nice bike.
If you want the helmet secured out of sight, then luggage, especially a tail trunk, is your best option...
I’m happy you’ve found just what you’re looking for.
Do you have any uses for a truck other than for towing a travel trailer? I had a truck for a short while to see why they were so popular, but soon realized that other than for pulling a boat up a boat ramp, I had no use for it.
