The issue with the Calsci shield and the stock fasteners is if you put in one side and tighten it up, then torque the windshield over to put in the other side, you're going to have trouble. If you put in all four screws loosely then tighten them in a pattern you will have no problems.

I've both used and sold two bros. Very high quality, louder than stock but not hugely like the Danmoto. I can't predict if you'll find it too loud or not, but there's a decent chance you'll think it's great. Guys sell them on EBay for about $12 above dealer cost, which is why I don't sell them...

I don't imagine you would have a problem towing, but if you choose to tow keep your speed under about 60. I know of guys who were almost thrown off the road due to high speed instability while towing with a motorcycle at 90mph. I expect we all agree that's just asking for trouble, so my point...

Sorry, these numbers are *not* correct. They are the correct torque values for screws going into nuts, but not for the windshield's well nuts. These figures are too high for a windshield and will likely result in cracked well nuts and cracked windshields.

Here's a big hint: you ever see a bird or a fish with "edging" on wings or fins? Any such critters got eaten 500 million years ago. A windshield that's too short and narrow with a wing or flip or edging is just a windshield that's too short and narrow and is also now stirring up the air.

On Ebay you can search for "motorcycle trunk" and easily find a GIVI knock-off for under $100. Make sure to get something at least 22" wide. I've had a few of these on VStroms and Versys, and they work just fine for 35,000 miles+.
