A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
Still good to find out why. I don't do DCT but maybe:
1) Not enough voltage to shift
2) Not enough oil pressure in trans
3) Just a little sticky from sitting
It's competing with the already idiotic R1300GS... and it's a Harley. It's a nice ride (the Pan Am, won't touch BMW again), I demoed it last fall, but also 100% not for me.
Covid. People bought bikes (among many other things) at a premium that they no longer want and/or no longer want to pay for. It's going to be a buyer's market soon.
Which dealer? I'm looking LOL.
I just used washers and nylon lock nuts on the back side. It's been good for the past 6 years. A little tricky to get in, but certainly not impossible.
I have done 375 mile days (600km) with a passenger on the NC700X. We stopped for breaks along the way but everything was fine. I ride 200 miles (320km) in a day on the weekends alone and it's a nice 5-6 hours.
We do not have the Veradero in the US. It sounds like it's bigger and has a lot more...
I think it's a fine option but also agree it's not a touring bike. If you are ok going 60-70mph and your passenger will put up with the average back seat, it will tour just fine. It's a great bike, but not really meant for touring. We have done a few multi-day trips on the NC, everything worked...
Based on your post and the answers seen here. You'll want a 2021 or newer NC750X because it has a lower seat height and weighs less, if you are ok with the technology package.
If you don't have a Facebook, I suggest you create one (like myself) solely for buying motorcycles! This is just a tiny sample I check just this second.
The Rox style work well, it was the bend that really aggravated my wrist so that was the main reason I changed. These are from TC Bros 7/8" 8" tall Mini Apes. $55 direct from them. Made in USA, very sturdy. OEM bar weights will not fit the ID but I don't think you'll need them since the bars are...
I was also going to say high, but if you like the cases they're probably $1500 new and could add value.
If you're just looking for a bike to ride and not 'tour', find one in good shape without accessories. Should be in the $4000-5000 range. There are a bunch around here for about $4500 with...
BTW, make sure it's vented! I don't know if the NC tank is vented from the factory.
You just need a tiny tiny pinhole in the cap to allow for vapor expansion.
Love it. I did the same long ago. Roughly 8 gallons and a 400 mile range. Vacuum feed to the main tank so it sucked the aux gas into the main tank as I rode!
You can't really see a whole lot here. The splices are heat shrunk and tucked way in there under the triple trees.
These are pics from my Oxford grip install which is what the giant bulk of wires is. Let me know if you want to see anything else. I think I have some when I was doing the swap on...
Yes. Relatively easy if you have some skill. Use marine vinyl or motorcycle specific vinyl, or leather if you choose.
Most marine upholstery places can get it done for you if you don't want to do it yourself. They can copy the old pattern and reinstall.
It could also be the clutch switch. You can unplug the wires at the left bar and that should bypass that switch.
I may be backwards, but same idea, you'll have to run a jumper wire between those connectors. One of those two should let the bike start in gear... but make sure you pull the clutch...
I bought this one but it appears to be out of stock.

You should be able to find an identical one from another seller in the 'similar items' links.
People are always looking for ways to wire fog lights so that they're off with the ignition. This wiring applies to the NC and just about any other bike with an H4. It can be modified for just about anything. I have no idea how the wiring looks on the newer bikes with the LED headlight since I...
