That tiny side stand foot finally aggravated me enough to do something about. I was considering a clamp on foot but the prices were a bit high. I happened to be at the hardware store Day before yesterday and saw a box of large flat washers the biggest was 1-1/4 hole by ~3” diameter. Looking at it, It occurred to me that I could weld through the hole of the washer to attach to the side stand foot.
Back in the shop I removed the side stand and cleaned up the bottom of the foot with a grinder. I centered up the washer on the foot and put two welds where inside hole crosses the foot. I drilled 3 equally spaced 5mm holes through the washer before cleaning and paint. I had intended to use a slice of a hockey puck to add a wear shoe and hold the bike up a little more upright. Then I saw I had a scrap of 3/8 nylon cutting board. I cut out a 3 1/8 circle and drilled it to match the holes. I attached with 3 5mm x 22 mm SS screws and lock nuts. I counter sunk the screw heads into the nylon foot pad.
Working good so far!
