Magnum tuning web site!

No prob, their website has products one of which they say tricks rev limiter for more poweruas anyone tried this and other electrical power related or air or spark enhansing products they list.

I admit I did not actually go to the Web site for the company you mentioned. However, the horsepower peak on a stock NC700 comes before the rev limit. By the time you reach red line the power output is already falling off. Thus, you would be better off just to shift gears than to try to exceed the stock rev limit setting.

I did. If some of their products work (doubting it), some of them are so bogus that their presence destroys any credibility they may have as a legit outfit. For example, they have a cute little set up that wraps around your spark plug wires. It is called the Motorcycle Magic-Spark Plug Intensifier Kit and does the following...

What's the theory behind?

It's basic, there are three requisites to make engine run, as fuel, air and spark. Whilst air fuel mixture is deemed as material of combustion, igniter spark is the governor. It's common arithmetic; within reason, the higher the firing energy an ignition system can produce, the more explosive torque can be delivered on the crankshaft.

OK, for starters, there are FOUR requisites to make an engine run: fuel, air, compression, and spark. I don't know how someone who doesn't know this basic fact is going to improve on an 11 story building full of Honda engineers. The fractured English on the web site seems eastern European (Hungary?) to me. They may just have a P.O. Box or one lonely soldier at the Florida office. When a company has so many bogus products and claims, I just walk.

This one is worth repeating until it makes sense to you...

Then they set you up for the final whammy...

It sounds obvious, if you can effectively reduce these thermal-, electric-, transient- etc. losses or you can intensify the current flow, you may gain considerable extra power. The vehement fluctuating electromagnetic flux produced by the state-of-the-art 3-coil capsule-joint and that is governed by the programmed microprocessor, achieves spark intensification. The end result is palpable. Aggressive power coupled with noticeable fuel consumption drop.

Now how much would you pay? So you don't forget, order before midnight tonight.

What's funny about their company and products is that it takes gullible people to keep them in business. Apparently they've been finding them since 1994.

Any deals on a good Flux Capacitor?

There is this wonderful thing called "expectation bias". It sells a lot of stereo equipment too. You expect it to be better, so it is. One way to tell is when people tell you that their "butt dyno" tells them it is faster. If that doesn't work they simply lie rather than admit that they have been taken. I saw one report where someone installed one of Magnum Tunings gizmos and said the bike would now power wheelie when it wouldn't before. Someone is going to hear that and buy one. You can bet that they will report magic improvements as well. Magnum helps them out by even putting "magic" in the product name.

With stereo gear they spend sometimes thousands of bucks and comment things like they "hear more air between the instruments" or "the background is blacker". Look up the reviews on $5,000 speaker or interconnect wires for some real hoots.

The sad part about most of these "engine efficiency" or "more power" scams is that they are based loosely on reality, but the reality component gets lost, and then people stop believing the actual science behind the non-sense....

A good consistant spark is essential for your engine to run well, and better spark plug wires do give you a better spark, to a point. Just like a bigger pipe can carry more water, but hooking your garden hose up to a 4 ft diameter pipe doesn't mean you are going to get more water out at the end.

Direct water injection is a thing, it's used for cooling the engine which can result in higher efficiency (less energy put into running a cooling system). It was used in WWII fighter planes.

Turbo's/superchargers really do deliver more power, but running a 12v fan in your air intake isn't the same as powering it off the engine or exhaust pressure, the losses are just too high.

Flux capacitors are fantastic devices for time travel, but the necessary 2.21 gigawatts is not realistic to produce with any modern consumer grade technology, and of course the lack of an outer protective shell of stainless steel makes the whole idea of installing one on the NC impractical... not to mention the added weight of time travel equipment means a total engine overhaul would be required to reach the necessary 88 mph...

Hydrogen is a great source of energy, it put the space shuttle into orbit, but putting a bottle of water on your air intake isn't exactly the same (which is good because a direct hydrogen oxygen mix in a modern engine would blow it to shreds).

I just thought...you know...since the Delorean and the NC are both silver...that, you know...that it would work.:(
