Disclaimer: I was the cameraman so there are no NCX in the video at all.
I just wanted to share my sunny ride today (11 Aug 2012) with the friendly people here on this forum.

PS: We were a little lost, as our route navigator had only an iPhone. We have all decided he should purchase a real TomTom.

"The Zürich Group hits the road!"
Do a collegial collection. €40 in contribution from each and everyone in the group then the poor fellow can have his GPS and you all are awarded to go BIKE RIDING!! :)

BTW I do have a GPS, but I let the guy lead....because my GPS cannot load routes (I am too lazy to figure it out, it seems to have this function though).
I tend to stay in the background and let them "become lost" so that it is "more fun".

One cannot really get lost in Switzerland, we just need to head in a certain direction and we hit the main highways.

Today I took the highway on the way back for about 140km over 1hour, and the bike was stable at 120-130kmh with Honda windshield and constant at around 4000-4500rpm.

My right arm was numb after today's ride, started at 8am, clocking about 250km in total. I need to get a twister throttle lock (cruise control). Any recommendation?

How did anyone ever find their way to their destination or home again before SatNav? I have never used one as maps have always been good enough for me. Also I have found some great roads and interesting places after having taken a wrong turn. always seemed to find the place I want and my way home again

I got this:

It's not a cruise control, but a cheap way to get some relief in your arm.

My daughter recently asked me how we ever could live without cell/mobile phones on "our days"? How could you meet up with people without that phone? she asked. She never understood my answer that we "planned weeks ahead" and showed up as promised. "But what when someone is late?" We waited, I answered. She newer got that... :)

BTW, the member map tells that you live in Algeria, Africa. Right?

The map should now show my correct location
I find you on Cromfield Road in Ashford, so I guess it's right. I left my pin spot on the house where I live, so you can study my back-yard at any time. Maybe some day there will be a satellite photo showing someone on a grey bike taking a glimpse up in the sky...

Having done my first ride on the interstate for 110 miles, I am of the opinion to get one of these critters. In the USA, I've sen them under the name "cramp busters". They seem very simple and cost effective

Hi Chris and TP
I have a "problem" with this thingy, when I am riding the twisties. It gets in the way.
Of course, this comes with "quick release" type of mechanism or...?

I have had one of these before, years ago when touring on the highways. They do give a comfortable hand/finger position, a time to rest.

Another one I saw before, was a kind of spring lock (1 way). But the rider and off-throttle and the spring opens up (freeing the grip).
Anyone knows what this one is called?

The cramp buster was the first thing I did when I got my NC700X. It helps a lot since I find the handgrips too small. The cramp buster works great and is very easy and inexpensive. I have also used this Throttlemeister Throttlemeister - Home on 1 of my bikes. This is a better solution if you do a lot of highway and long distance riding as you can set it and relax your hand. For shorter and local riding the cramp buster is the way to go.
