Where are all the ladies?!

Still around - occasionally anyway, chasing a toddler doesn't leave much time for motorcycling. Not terribly far from Alexandria either, though I don't take my bike that close to DC if I can avoid it.

I'm here now; been busy riding this summer. Put 10,000 miles on the bike in July between riding in the Butt Lite VIII 6 day competitive rally and then to NY for the BMW MOA hang around and visit rally. About to go on a women only campout this weekend on the bike. Purchased it with 2,200 miles on it late December, now have 26,000 and going strong.

At first I thought you meant where how come chicks don't dig guys on NCs. Duh. Buy a Harley dude if your looking for companionship. Never mind. :)

No offense to those who like the camaraderie but I can't recall having a question or concern that was gender specific beyond why don't clothing manufacturers take into account the differential between waist and hip measurements [emoji12]Granted, it will be nice when female riders are no longer a "novelty", but segregation won't move that forward. Just my 2 cents.

I have daughter that is returning to riding
Shes very short, so we are looking at the rebel 500 for her. Hope to bring her to KSL 9

Hear, hear! Am certain I should be 5'7" but something went awry along the way. 5'4 will have to do. And yes, my NC is lowered as well.

Do you mind telling me about the lowering?
Soupysperformance.com
Has adjustable dog bone links and adjustable side stand. It took me 25 minutes to put in the links. Makes the bike a little longer so be sure your chain is loose before adjusting down. Also if you are 5'4" you ma want to raise your fork tubes a little to keep the bike even/level which will keep the handling the same. We did that on one bike and not on the other. Longer bike and no lowered fork tubes means the bike doesn't turn in as quick...less nimble but not drastically. Most people wouldn't notice the difference.
If you loosen the dog bone bolts then tilt the bike up on the side stand the pressure is off of them and you can slide them right out.
Kick stand spring is a pain but do-able. Make sure to grease the kick stand pivot point.
