Found this connector taped into the harness left front inside of cowl.
Green, purple, and purple with red tracer

green - continuity with ground
purple - +5v dc when key on, engine running or not
purple with red - no voltage or connectivity with other 2 wires.

The provided a female cap you could add pins to and make your own extension (or just to keep corrosion off wired end)

Any idea what its for?

Plot twist

My accessory relay kit arrived, and the harness is back-ordered another month.
So I went ahead installing the accessory relay and fuse if you can call it installing lol.

On a hunch, I retested the Purple/Red wire with the relay kit installed - +12v, with ign/ on.
Removed relay - dead. Put back - on.

So while the relay kit fires up the Accessory connector behind the frunk bottom, it also enables the purple/red in the 3 pin connector in the front of the bike ... left, inside of cowl near front fork tubes.

For some folks this might be an easier solution than removing all the bodywork to install the wiring harness if all you need is an ign. controlled 12v

So got to install my 2xUSB3.0/voltmeter outlet. I chopped off the 3 wire connector, heat shrink tip to insulate the purple/white dot +5.
Installed my own 2 position connector mainly so its easier to add another 2 pos connector for another accessory on to the leads on the USB accessory side as I left those long enough to work on outside of the steering cavity.

Still no idea what the connector is for originally.

This plug is for the Honda OEM heated grips on 2017+ bikes. Green is ground, the Purple/Red wire is switched 12v+ (which is enabled when you also install the accessory fuse & relay set), and the Purple/Black wire supplies a signal to the instrument panel that's fed back from the grip heat controller, which is part of the OEM heated grip equipment.

In use, there's a button on the left grip that will sequentially switch grip heat level from 5-4-3-2-1-off. The illuminated button cover flashes when the heat is on and every time the heat setting level is changed, the instrument panel clock blanks out and an image of a heated grip along with the number of the heat setting momentarily shows in its place. The heat level number disappears and clock returns after that moment. The heated grip icon shows as long as the grip is heating at any level and goes blank when the heat setting is "0".

The switched 12v+ comes from the same fused connection as the switched power to the accessory connector. Given that, if I didn't already have the OEM heated grips, I'd certainly feel comfortable using that connector as a source for switched 12v+ - but probably best to stay away from the Purple/Black wire.

Really appreciate you filling in the details CapeMan! Mystery solved :)

USB charge port for my iphone I'd wager is a safe load to T-tap into the switched lead if you retain the connector for grip heaters.
I agree with other accessories the 7.5A capability of the fuse is a limiting factor combined with the grips (and lights if you go with Honda's full on light package)

I'm sure that the wiring could handle a USB 12v>5v charger. I mean the heated grips are probably running what, maybe 2 - 2.5 amps and the charger's probably pulling 1 amp or so so it's all good. And if you could find the right connector (or maybe even use the blanking connector that's already there if it's got wiring terminals in it - don't recall), you wouldn't even have to tap in to the lead. Just stay away from the Purple/Black connector! Sweet.

This "mystery" connector is really interesting for me. It is present on my 2015 NC750X ABS (Canadian model). I would like to use the Purple/Red wire as a power source to install accessory LED lights. I already have the Relay/7.5A fuse kit installed. I have KOSO heated grips wired from the power source located below the frunk on the left side. When I installed my heated grips, I did not know about this connector. It wouls have save me a lot of time... My question is; as the LED lights would be on the same circuit than the heated grips, if my understanding is correct, would it be too much for the 7.5A fuse?

There's no way to answer this question definitively without more info. You'll need to know how much current your heated grips draw at max heat setting and how much current the aux LED lights draw. If the sum of the current draws are less than 7.5 amps, you're good to go.

There's always the brute force approach - hook 'em both up then turn 'em on and the fuse will blow if there's too much current draw - but better to measure first. You could pull the 7.5 amp fuse and insert ammeter probes in the fuse socket connections to measure the grip current draw and use the same ammeter to separately measure the LED light current draw then you'll know.

Ammeters can be had for cheap these days in the form of a digital volt-ohm meter, sometimes even free if you've got the right coupon and a handy Harbor Freight outlet - dunno about Canadian Tire but I'll betcha they've got something similar. If you're uncomfortable messing about with VOM's, just look at this as a learning experience and do a modicum of research first on VOM "usage, care and feeding."

At a guess, you're probably OK as I can run both the OEM heated grips and a pair of LED aux lights without any problem. But it's only a guess, YMMV!

Just got the answer for the heated grips from Koso: 2.7A at maximum setting. Also from WebBikeWorld whom tested these heated grips: "(...) one owner claims to have measured the amperage at 0.6A on the lowest setting and 2.8A on high."
So with my very limited electronic skills, I think that if I find some accessory LED lights that draw less than 4 or 4.5A (which I think is fairly easy) I should be OK; correct?

That makes sense.

I would aim for less than 7.5Amps total as you want the fuse to have a bit of overhead. You don’t want the fuse to work for a month and then blow.

Hope i helped.;)

Just got the answer for the heated grips from Koso: 2.7A at maximum setting. Also from WebBikeWorld whom tested these heated grips: "(...) one owner claims to have measured the amperage at 0.6A on the lowest setting and 2.8A on high."
So with my very limited electronic skills, I think that if I find some accessory LED lights that draw less than 4 or 4.5A (which I think is fairly easy) I should be OK; correct?

What I’ve generally read is that fuse rating should be 1.25x max current draw (or one could say it should be 125% of max current draw). A 7.5 amp fuse would thus _imply_ a max current of 6 amps on that circuit. That assumes many things, but my point is that it’s unwise, IMO, to plan to load a circuit close to the amperage the manufacturer fused the circuit at.

Depending on what you want to light up with your LED accessory lights...do you want to light up a parking lot or just add lights so oncoming vehicles can see you...these 10 watt/12 volt (equals .833 amp draw) allows oncoming vehicles-and cars on side roads-to see you better and they do light up the road better:

Looks like it would be easy to keep total current draw under 6A. Numerous LED accessory lights are very low on current draw.

Thanks for sharing. Those Xprite are on my list. Do you use an ON/OFF switch with your lights?

Untill today everything works great after rain, cold etc and looks like this :

Hope i helped.;)
I see a switch on left handlebar. I suppose it is for the Cree Led lights. What is that switch? Are you satisfied with the quality?

Exactly the switch is used for the cree led lights. It's made by GIVI and it's waterproof.
Yes i'm satisfied with the quality. The only disadvantange is that it is too small to use when you wear heavy winter gloves. You must try a little more. If you wear other type of gloves, lighter ones there is no problem at all.

Thanks for sharing. Those Xprite are on my list. Do you use an ON/OFF switch with your lights?
yes.. I have a on/off toggle switch... I guess they can be hard wired into the headlight, but not for me...easier to put a toggle switch on my handlebar... (the toggle switch I had only had 2 wires...one to the hot of battery and one to the hot wires for the lights...been on the bike for almost 2 years..been thru rain, dust, heat.
