64mpg is my consistent number. I can and have gotten considerably more, but I don’t hesitate to play with the switches between D, S, and Manual depending on what I see coming up in the next half mile. I can’t resist, it’s just too easy to do on the fly. Same with hitting a downshift and powering into the turns.
If memory serves, I think I recall mid 70’s on a tank or two when just lollygagging along.

I had an early morning Dr's appt, it was the 6 month checkup after my last chemo/arthritis treatment and things were still going great. So, afterwards i went for a nice ride and toured SH2 in washington, then up to Newport Wa, and took the SH20 west to the Beaver Lodge near Thomas Lake where they have had fantastic PIE and ice cream in the past. Heh, the gal was there but told me she hasn't made any pies for a few months with everything going on. I laughed and told her that was no excuse lol! We visited over a nice cup of Joe and i left returning home via Washington SH211. Enjoying a spirited ride in "S" mode and toggling a few times between gears i liked better i still netted 63mpg. Though not bad, i think i'll spend more time in "D" mode as i am that much of a mpg snob lol.

as i rode on Wa SH20 through Cusick Wa i noticed a brand new building, a Kalispell Tribal Casino with a really cool mural on it's wall.

once in Ione Wa i spotted a new delivery truck and one of my Fav beverages too!

I have some old photos for Beaver Lodge at Thomas Lake off of Wa SH20 so i didn't take any new ones while i was there. I guess i should have though with the new DCT and all.... heh.

Here are a couple of shots of Davis Lake also off of Wa SH211.

i ended the 200 mile ride climbing the Tiger Junction pass and otherwise riding fairly spirited with the "S" mode engaged with a 63mpg tank.

I've avoided most social media and forums during the pandemic but I'm getting bored :)

Today I tried to remove the panels necessary to replace a broken turn signal from memory. I guess you could say that today I learned my memory isn't as good as it used to be. Going to try again after work. I love seeing all the amazing rides and views people are getting on their NCs

Good to see/hear from you again FT144. We've been missing your rides/posts too! For me, the NC has been the perfect social distancing tool ever invented! I have taken so many road trips since January when all of this none-sense started and once the weather changed up here i switched to the NC and haven't looked back. Since my divorce was final a while ago the NC has been a real tool for mental health FREEDOM...!!! Get out and RIDE, lol!!!

I bought my NC just as the pandemic broke out. I call it the Covid 19 rider as I also social distance riding. Once the wind starts to whistle past my ears I totally forget about everything else. Head to places unknown all the time. Love ever minute of it :)

Enjoying the fall riding. Broke out the leather wear today and had my first opportunity to try out my Gerbing heated vest. Temperature was about 10°C and hit some nasty rain with wind gusts of up to 90 km per hour. Stayed warm and dry. Had a bit of a time with an emergency vehicle at a highway intersection though. Coming into the intersection with some traffic in all directions a late to the party truck with only minor flashing lights made a very aggressive move to go threw the red light on his way to the accident scene. I was already committed to the green traffic light in a rain soaked road when he hit the brakes as he saw me at the last second. Not a real close call but enough to remind me to be ever vigilant. Made it home safe and sound and the NC showed that it can handle some pretty tough weather conditions. 8DF9B302-8035-48C8-9007-799A205B6EF9.jpeg

Today was frought with busy-ness, man oh man by the end of the day i was so glad to be finished running errands and trying to complete a few side jobs for folks in two states and finally be home! Once i made it home, i spent some time on the NC.

I installed the new Center Stand,
dct center stand.jpg

and the new tank protector for the tank bag,
tank protector pad.jpg

and the new coffee cup holder, lock to lock it clear everything nicely. Now to hit Dutch Bros in the morning and try it out!!

Each one was a breeze to install(without a fight, simply amazing after the day i had lol). :{)

This afternoon after work i made a 400 mile solo round trip over to Wenatchee Wa where i scored a really nice and nearly brand new pair of Klim pants for Pillion. The entire Wenatchee valley is just beautiful with all of their giant bluffs, miles of assorted orchards and fresh fruit stands everywhere. :{)

As i was headed out of the wenatchee area i was talking with Pillion on the Sena headset and missed one of my turns. So i had to reacquire my nav and it re-routed me through some orchard fields. A mile or two along this narrow paved road i came across a brand new building still under construction and then i noticed the huge company mane on the east side of the building as i came to it...well what-do-you-know!!!

It was a great ride and met a pretty cool guy who is getting out of adventure bikes for a while. It really got a little chilly after the sun went down on the return ride home, so I had to stop and put on my hoodie along with my riding jacket liner and over pants...wow. It just might be a good time to install my still new in the box heated grips from last year. I got 62.5mpg with a fairly steady 75mph going there and only netted 55.3mpg on the way back fighting a fairly strong headwind though still maintaining 75mph. :{)

Some beautiful scenery there.

Did some exploring with a friend around the Sauk Prairie Recreation Area, in Sauk County WI. It is on the site of the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant. There are lots of overgrown service roads, dirt, and gravel trails to ride around on, as well as abandoned equipment and bunkers to explore.

Some of the roads are marked closed or "private", but many of them are open for public vehicles. Motor vehicles are allowed, except on bike trails.

If you live in Wisconsin, very fun place to explore. We ran into one other motorcyclist, a guy on a DR-Z who was doing some bird and nature watching.

Today I went for a ride to Port Dover to have a Perch lunch at The Beach House.
Weather was good but very windy, there was a guy surfing the waves.
Total trip was about 350 km.
When I got home Fedex had delivered my mount for my tank bag.
Had to mount it heres some pics. First time posting pics hope it works.

Virgil,
What is the SW Motech tank ring number you purchased? And where did you order it from? I looked on the SW Motech US site and Twisted Throttle and didn't see it.

Thanks in advance.
