I am selling a brand new condition custom made Dale's Rack for any Honda NC700X/750X motorcycle.
This rack installs behind the rider, where the pillion seat would usually be.
It's purpose, besides allowing a rider extra storage space, is to allow refuelling the bike without unlocking and lifting up the pillion seat.
For long distance touring with the NC loaded with luggage, this rack saves a huge amount of aggravation when refuelling.
These racks were manufactured by a guy in the US named Dale, who owned a Honda Powersports dealership and saw a need for this custom rack for NC700/750 owners.
They are not manufactured any more, and are considered highly desirable additions.

This rack was used once, and is in brand new condition.
I'm selling the rack for $200 USD + shipping.

PM me if interested.

Dale's Racks have multiple benefits and I don't think they are currently manufactured so if someone wants one you should snap it up.

I found it has 5 viable uses:
  1. keeps passengers off my bike
  2. lets me haul all sorts of stuff that won't fit in panniers
  3. keeps passengers off my bike
  4. makes it easier to fuel up
  5. keeps passengers off my bike

It looks like a neat piece of kit, but does it manage to keep passengers off your bike? I think you may have omitted that.

I think I missed that one.

Correction, it has 6 viable uses!

But seriously, the Dale's Rack is a well made and well designed piece of kit. I love mine, it makes the bike ever more useful. It is rare to see these pop up for sale.

Also in seriousness, are there any issues with the angle of the steel poking you? I love the utility aspect but I trend to use the pillion seat as a back stop. I’d be concerned about the comfort factor.

NO

Using my stock seat, and then later my Corbin seat, I don't contact it all unless I push myself back. I actually found I like to push up against it when I ride. There are no issues if you push against it, it is slightly angled and comfortable if you are in contact with it while riding. There are no sharp edges against you.

Now I have the Russell's Day Long saddle on the bike and because of the shape of that seat I naturally sit just forward of the leading edge of the Dale's rack.

Like melensdad I feel no discomfort from contact with the rack. I had this rack and a Sargent on an earlier NC and now I have a Corbin with this rack. If one was tall or otherwise long-limbed they might naturally sit further back and be in constant contact with the rack but that is not my situation.

I'm debating getting one just to get the measurements and turn it into a CAD file to release to the forum. As Dale is no longer making them, it might be nice to have a file you could use to cut out a rack on one of those CNC services as a DIY kit. Maybe simplify the design for easy fabrication by the end user.

That would be me.
I hope you find the Dale's rack as useful as I do.

If you come up with more than 5 positive attributes, as I identified earlier in the thread, for your Dale's rack please let us all know.
