Installed a radiator guard in an attempt to keep the radiator bug free. Kinda wonder why Honda doesn't make that standard? Maybe they don't have insects in Japan like they do here.
Honda probably does not make a radiator guard standard because people continue to buy the motorcycle without it. Honda likely has no incentive to increase manufacturing cost by adding a radiator guard because it won’t positively impact sales or reduce Honda’s warranty costs.

However, it would make sense from Honda‘s point of view to offer a radiator guard as a genuine accessory and charge something like $150 for it plus an additional $50 for the necessary installation hardware kit.

Installed handlebar risers and did the slope mod on the seat last night. Increased comfort in the riding position but the seat itself still sucks. Have an airhawk but can’t seem to get it inflated to my derrières liking

Filled up after the last 2 days rides. Total 170 miles took 2.1 gals to refill for an average of 81 mpg. Yea baby!

I tried an Airhawk on another bike and couldn't find a sweet spot on it either. Ended up selling it. (the Airhawk, not the bike lol).

I was supposed to do a 100 mile charity ride, but dropped a clock on my foot this morning. Pretty sure I broke my toe….

Airhawk cruiser medium installed. Anxious to test on the work commute tomorrow. Seems huge compared to the dual sport

Had mine for 5 years and have never fully washed it. Use it most days year-round to go to work. It does sleep in the garage at both ends.
I'll occasionally wipe the windshield, forks, and the front plastics, but I rarely look through the windshield, so the extra tint from the dirt doesn't bother me.
I have neighbors who spend hundreds of gallons of water weekly to keep their cars spotless, when most CA-feeding reservoirs are at historical critical levels. Priorities...

A couple guys on sportsbikes from work wanted to do a ride through the mountains to the ocean today. A third guy who went with them last week recommended against trying to follow them, unless I like really blowing the speed limits in the twisties. Would have been a perfect day for the ride, but the wrong partners.
But the twisties is the best place to go fast! No speed traps in twisties and it's the only place the NC feels like a sport bike. I actually ride the NC faster than my VFR in the curvy stuff.

I tried, I rode 20 mile there & 20 miles back. I couldn’t put my foot down & hold the bike up at stops very well. Especially on a hill.
Felt really stupid & dangerous so I bailed.
Better to be safe. I was just joshing you. Not much you can do for a broken toe other than tape it and persevere. I was going to make a joke about dropping your cell phone... Who has clocks anymore?

I owned a VFR1200X also. It was the last bike I sold. Loved it. Just not right for me anymore. I think it is severely under appreciated. There are justifiable criticisms but really an apex machine, in my opinion.

With all this joking around you did a hell of lot better than I ever would have thought to try. I’m not joking when I say I don’t ride when it’s cold. Primadonna here I guess.
