MotoGP racing starts NOW!!!

The young turk and the master swap 1-2 and 2-1 at the end! Good to see Rossi on the podium but Marquez is the future.

That was a good race! The doctor gave his best so far in last 2 years.... It's gonna be interesting if Yamaha continues to give him a good setup including top speed overtaking the HRC. :p

Yes indeed Marquez is the future. However he had a virtual MotoGP pensioner up his *** tonight all the way to the line. Priceless to see and something to be savoured and remembered.

What a great race! Enjoyed every moment of it! :D

I've never been a particularly big Rossi fan (I like the guy, but will always cheer for someone like Hayden or one of the UK dudes, myself) but was glad to see him doing so well. I like the Marquez kid, he shows a little bit of humility despite his awesome talent, which raises him greatly in my eyes.

Lorenzo and Pedrosa, meh, I don't know. For some reason I just never could warm up to them. Not knocking their uber skills, just don't care for 'em.

I've got my tickets for the next one in Austin

I won't get it until June probably, but I ordered mine for my 2nd trip to the race at Indy.
Watching them come rippin' down the 3/4 mile straight on the first lap at 220 mph, was worth the price of admission for me.

I like the elevation changes on the Austin track. It adds another aspect to racing.

psst... Marc Marquez is not famous for being humble....at least not from his style of riding and his unapologetic press conferences afterwards.
Don't take my word for it. All top riders wanted him banned last year.
:(

Marc Marquez sooner or later he will come a cropper.
he a risk taker, two or three times he has gone on the inside and forcing the other rider wide.
it is just a matter of time......

I can't understand a word but sure is funny..marky move faster the Rossi!

I'm going by what I've seen during interviews and after races. Pedrosa and Lorenzo came across as arrogant, and Marquez didn't. *shrug*

As far as how he rides, I don't care what the other racers feel like; sour grapes for not winning, 'course they are going to complain, lol ;)

If he gets banned for unsafe or illegal manouevers according the sanctioning body rules, then so be it, he should take his due lumps. If he doesn't, well then the other riders should try to do better, or stfu and go play badminton.

That's why I don't like any three of them.
However his arrival does ignite some excitement in motogp which helps the marketing. And I think that's the underlying reason he got away with a few controversial racing tactics and reckless moves last year.

Let's see how he behaves as the reigning champion.
Still I would cringe if anyone said he is a humble guy....
:p

well I'll tell you this last year I never heard him complain nor did he after making that mistake of coming in early.
he just shrug his shoulder and said thats racing.
must admit I like him a lot and I hope he does well now and in the future.
ol georgy boy is now acting like a spoilt child in not getting his way so he winging on about this and that instead of trying to get a round like marky lad did last year.
they all wing about marco simoncelli ,hell thats Racing, some of these mamby pamby wouldn't last in the good ol days of fairing bashing...

I went to Indy for the MotoGP about 3 years ago, I think, the year Pedrosa won. That place was awesome, kinda old but with all that history. We sat for awhile along that long start and finish straight during the qualifying and I know exactly what you mean. The sound resonating in those stands gives you goose bumps.
