I live in the Mobile, AL, area and I have not had a pleasant experience with any dealer in this area. There is a good dealer in Gulfport, MS, but that is a 75 mile drive through heavy traffic. Anyway, I understand your input now. Thanks very much, Bill

You might check with the selling dealer and see if they recorded the code at the time of delivery.

We don't know anything about the service history, that's why I made the suggestion. I worked in motorcycle service for years, some of the things I've seen are amazing. One owner wasn't aware his bike had an air filter.

An easy thing would be to change the oil, main oil filter, and clutch oil filter. Be sure to use the Honda recommended oil.

Sand out the scratches and paint with hi-temp paint.

I think you have up to one year from the date you take delivery of the bike to purchase the extended warranty. Did the dealer also recommend the prepaid maintenance plan and credit life insurance? Those are big money makers too.

Are you aware that the clutch cable is adjustable at both ends? Also, I usually shift to neutral and let the clutch lever out when stopping for more than a few seconds.

This always happens to me. When I get a new bike I cover those areas with stick on vinyl.

I don't know what law is in VA, but here in Alabama I would contact an attorney. Find one that won't charge anything for a consultation and go from there.

Could you post pics or a short video showing the problem? It might just be a matter of cable adjustment.

Not to mention what has to be done to remove the carbs from the CBX!!

Try disconnecting the negative cable on the battery for a few seconds and then reconnecting it.
