    Ladies comfort base layers

Depends how long I'm planning to ride. Shorter trips I do jeans and t-shirt. Long days I wear yoga pants and a tank or tee. Some day I'll finish my pair of lightweight wool pants and start using those...if I find time and motivation.

    Where are all the ladies?!

Still around - occasionally anyway, chasing a toddler doesn't leave much time for motorcycling. Not terribly far from Alexandria either, though I don't take my bike that close to DC if I can avoid it.

Is two up really that bad?

Aside from what everyone else has said, her height (specifically the leg length) is going to make a big difference. I've ridden on the back of mine for short distances and I couldn't do a full day even with a new pillion seat. It's too cramped. I'm 5'10" though. Someone a little less leggy might...

    RTE(D) - Skyline Drive

Anyone up for a ride to eat dessert in Shenandoah National Park? I'm thinking either July 17th or 23rd, spend some time on Skyline Drive and enjoy some blackberry cobbler, cheesecake, and/or ice cream at Big Meadows Lodge (near the halfway point). We could meet on the north side of the park and...

    Going Bigger

I'd also suggest checking out the super tenere. Hubby picked an es up when they came out and really likes it. I've ridden it a couple times and while it's definitely not a good fit for me, it seems well balanced and well put together.

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

Alright, I got home yesterday afternoon, with a total of 1,047 miles for the weekend. It rained a lot, leaving me pouring water out of my boots at my first stop, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Next stop was the Kentucky Horse Park for the Rolex Kentucky 3 Day **** Event I set up...

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

Rode a little over 500 miles (by far my longest day since surgery) from southern PA to Lexington, KY. Stopped halfway at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum for a tour and to dump a small pond out of my boots. Things mostly cleared up after that, some isolated stuff and I was almost dry by the...

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

Correct, except they took the steeplechase out and shortened endurance day to just cross country jumping. Show jumping doesn't start until 1pm or so Sunday, but we'll see. Apparently rain at Rolex is a tradition. *Shrug* I guess I'll see how waterproof my new boots are.

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

It's still a less wet forecast than it had been. I am coming for Rolex. Been on the to-do list for over a decade, finally close enough and have the funds at the same time. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for occasional showers versus torrential downpours. Shh, don't burst my bubble.

Audio Books/Old Radio Plays etc.- Anyone listen to them?

The book is written, he's just editing. At least that's what I've read - he didn't want to be in the position of GRRM where he had all these loose ends and no way to tie them up (or worse, like Robert Jordan dying before finishing), and had them all finished before publishing the first one. His...
