Long Way Up Is In The Making

    Holy crap! They got old!

A motorcyclist is killed by a bolt of lightning in Florida

If it happened in Florida, I have to assume they were holding golf clubs.

A motorcyclist is killed by a bolt of lightning in Florida

I guess his pipes just weren’t loud enough.

    170/60 vs 160/60 rear tire

Time for new tires as both my front and back are between 2/32 and 3/32. I purchased the bike used and it came with a 170/60 rear tire which had just been installed. I’m curious on opinions about if I should go back with a 170/60 or should I return to the stock 160/60 size. I know the stock size...

    Center stand

For anyone who hasn’t already installed theirs, the Honda center stand springs are easily installed by hooking the springs before inserting the long bolt.

    Considering the NC700x. Currently on a PC800

Personally, I think the NC700x would do well for all of your listed scenarios EXCEPT that two up trip with the wife. 5e previous poster’s recommendation of the CTX700 would be even worse in that regard. I had one before my NC and, as much as I wanted to like it, I just didn’t. The cruiser style...

    Heated Accessories

On a 12v system, I’m not sure how 13.7 - 14 volts is considered low.

    Heated Accessories

I rode 70 miles today using my Tourmaster heated vest, bike master heated grips, and had my phone plugged in and charging. Voltmeter showed 13.7 - 14.0 volts with vest and grips on highest settings.

What is your favorite color choice for the NCX? (Poll)

My bike started out silver. Then it was black. Now it’s white. Definitely prefer the white.

Inexpensive Handlebar Risers from eBay, yes or no?

I installed the eBay version of the rox pivoting risers over a year ago. Happy to say that there have been no issues other than having to tighten the bolts a little after finding the smooth contact surface would rotate in the factory clamp points. I’m sure the additional bolt torque is probably...

Harley-Davidson Shows Off Its Electric Concepts In Action

Trying to convince the traditional cruiser riders to switch to electric is a losing battle. The hard core Harley guys will never change over. But, they are an aging demographic that won’t be around forever. Harley needs to be trying to lure in new buyers. You can’t do that with a bike that costs...

Hard to put bike on OEM centerstand....

It’s definitely about pushing down on the stand. When done properly, you should not have to lift up on the bike at all. I hold the left side handle bar and rear grab rail but these are really just to keep myself from rising up as I push down on the stand. I’m not lifting the bike with my arms...

    Rear Mounting Plate

Looks good. I’d save the money on powder coat and just use the spray on bed liner. $10 for a can and you’ll have plenty left over for touch ups if you ever need it.

    New Paint Job

Dust was definitely a problem. I hung the pieces in the garage and took them out on the back deck to spray one at a time. As I walked out the back door, I’d wipe each piece down with a tack cloth. I’ve got three tiny pieces of dust in the clear that no one else will ever see, but I know are...

    New Paint Job

Repainted my bike again. I never cared for the original silver. About a year ago, I painted it black. Given the materials used and my lack of painting knowledge, it didn’t turn out too well. Finally got around to sanding it down and restarting in white. Rather than using the paint gun again, I...
