The timing of this post is very helpful. I thought I'd be staying through old posts.
Today I've taken my 2012 NC700S for the first ride in a good while. Lockdown in Australia certainly cuts down your riding. Anyway, after about 265kms, the light came on. It's never done this before. I pulled...
My bike had a centre stand when I bought it, so I'm surprised to learn it wasn't standard issue. Very handy. I think the best mod I've done is adding bark busters. Just to help with the wind chill.
Using the AirHawk seat is also helpful.
Here's a view of The Black Spur. On a good day with no traffic, it is arguably one of the great rides in Victoria. It's certainly one of the best close to Melbourne. It was a great day for a ride, so I thought I'd film it. Not everything went to plan though.
Enjoy.
The Black Spur
Good move on the windscreen. I did that to mine a few years back. Yesterday I rode around 500 kilometres with a givi larger screen and the noise was horrendous. I'll be putting the short screen back on soon.

This is brilliant. I was planning to search through the forum looking for someone's wooden rack and here it is at the top of the list. Winner.
Thanks for showing us how it's done HarveyM.
How does it go with the bags on?

Cleaned and lubed the chain. Then checked the slack and tightened it up. Then realised I'd made it way too tight, so slackened it a bit.
Also fitted the SWMotech guard I bought back in July. Feeling good. Now hoping nothing falls off. :)

Changed the oil and filter.
I do wish we could get to the sump plug and the filter from the same side on the bike. It would make life better for my back.

Thank you lootzyan. Today I finally was able to find time to work on the bike and was able to open the fuse box.
Cheers.

Did you need to remove the battery to get the lid off the fuse box? I didn't see anything in the owner's manual to show how to remove the lid. The illustrations about the main fuse didn't help me much either. I don't think that's the fault of the manual though.
Everything is working OK today...
