Negative comments from others about DCT

Forty Two buy the DCT if you think it is the right bike for you. No one knows what bike is the right one for you, better than you. Be true to yourself.

    Do crashbars protect anything

Or is it just a place for the extra lights? Givi, Sw motech ect. Crashbars do they protect the motor and plastic from scratched if the bike is tipped over? Anyone with experince in dropping the bike? I just dont want to spend money on crashbars if they dont protect anything.

    Boosterplug anyone ?

I have run with the boosterplug this summer. IT works and are still working!! Totally impressed with it, the motor runs soo more smooth in low rpm’s. Big difference! Recommend it.

    Boosterplug now with practical experience

I have really NOT noticed that it use more fuel after installing the Boosterplug. If it does it is really not much. I still go 27-29km/l just like before. I can not discuss how the ECU is programed and when it uses the input from the sensor. I can only guess but dont have a clue But I can...

    Boosterplug now with practical experience

Yes thats what the document says. And my practical experience is 28.3km/l on my last 300km with boosterplug installed. Same as before installing it. Therefor I think the ECU only use the input from the temperature sensor at low rpm but that only what I think and also make sence in my head.

    Boosterplug now with practical experience

For normal riding the fuel milage is the same. I have not noticed any change. I think the mixture is richer only at low rpm so I guess that with a lot of city driving there will be a slight increase.

    Boosterplug now with practical experience

Yes I know this has been up before, and now it is up again :-) I own the 750X DCT. I was a bit unhappy because in the D mode the DCT shifts to 6 gear at 63kmt, and at that speed I felt it was running uneven and not very smooth. Until now I have in the city run it in sport mode or constantly...

6000km on the NC750X DCT and not very happy.

My 700CC did have 51HK (38.1kw) and 62Nm My 750CC do have 55HK and 68Nm The combination with more HK and Nm = you feel the difference :-)

6000km on the NC750X DCT and not very happy.

I owned both, and yes you can easy feel the difference in power. The 750 is also more smooth and less vibrations at low rpm. But try before you buy. Also regarding the headline of this thread, I did but a VFR800 2016, but now I am back on a NC750X DCT 2017, and happy :-)

Regarding DCT in S-mode: When do your NC750 DCT shift to 6 gear?? (not on 2016 model)

Thanks for all your answers. I am still not sure if there is a problem with my bike or not. I have mailed the video to my dealer and he thinks it looks like there is some thing wrong. I will take the bike to the dealer and ride a similar model so I/we can compare. I will keep you updated when...

Regarding DCT in S-mode: When do your NC750 DCT shift to 6 gear?? (not on 2016 model)

Manual switching do work in S-mode, but only above 3000 rpm. I made this video (see my fight to get it to shift to 6 gear i s-mode) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEKbUH08I70 If there is some thing wrong with my bike, I want it fixed.
