Hi, I just bought a rsv4 shock. I wondered what adjustment you did to yours ? By chance, would you have any pics /data about preload, rebound and compression settings ?
maybe the RSV4 shock upgrade deserves its own topic ?
Did someone who did this upgrade (RSV4 shock) with a 180 mm long, 12 k/mm stiffness could sumarize his setting including the preload adjustment ?
I fully agree.
I fitted the EBC HH on my NC 700X ABS 3,000 miles ago and I didn't feel anything special... but an improved braking power.... No rattle, nothing.
. I didn't like very much the "limited" power of the front brake, I feel much more safe now.
My feedback after 2000 km with my Tuono/Sachs swap. FYI, I also put the emulators from race tech in the fork tubes.
It really changes the way the bike operates. I spent some time tweaking the hydraulics screw. I finally concluded that , my personnal best was to set the adjustment right in the...
I just installed the race tech emulators, blue springs, 2 additional holes drilled in the emulators , SAE10 oil in. Extremely happy with the results. Fast compression is much more controlled now.
I tried to get the lighter springs for my Racetech emulators.
Here is the answer I got from their tech guy
Hi,
The silver springs you might be referring to are 26 lb/in springs and would be extremely light in that application. If you care to purchase them the part number is FPEV VS026.

I have the exact same bike. Same muffler, same color, just the same.
SOmething that can't be seen : I have a decat mid-pipe. Makes it sound different....
He's right. That's correct. Rear brake applies to both. That's the reason why many NC user use mostly the pedal to brake. According to me, it's a rather dangerous habit.
I did'nt know that the tuono shock was serviceable.
Mine seems in a very good shape too. The seller claimed that it was used for less than 3,000 miles before getting removed from the bike.
After I removed the spring, i had a close look. It actually does not leak and the hydraulic adjustment...
Dear all,
I went for the same option : Tuono shock + spring replacement (180 mm 12.5 kg/mm).
I supposed that, you guys, could provide us with some feedback about your final settings of the shock ?
I try to follow you guys.
I just orders a tuono shock (3,000 miles on the clock) and a 180 mm long, 12kg/mm spring will follow.
Trying to get a reasonnable dealer for such a spring.
