A New Way to Open Your Trunk Without a Key

Make a duplicate generic key. Tie it with an lanyard to the master key so you won't forget it. Ta-da! $10 solution.

    The World fastest bike - 333 km/h (207 mph)

Saw a YouTube once where the cyclist had some car push it to gain speed. It wasn't a well prepared bike because the wheel hubs started to smoke and the rider crashed soon after. Spectacular , and not very bright :)

    Shifting Progression

I have a DCT and I get it only on 6th when it automatically shifts into at 65kmh and the jerkiness stays up until 90+ kmh, beyond which it goes past 3000rpm and smoothness returns. I can't tell if it's jerky at lower speeds cos it up shifts rather quickly, and the rpm goes up pretty quickly too...

The NC700X ride, What's it like?

I think he means the decelerating accelerating feeling when up shifting gears on normal manual bikes, because with the DCT gear changes are almost imperceptible. However on DCT 6th gear from 70-90 kmh ( mine usually shifts at 65kmh) I'll feel some engine jerkiness from gear being too low and...

Why I like my NC700 DCT

I prefer D mode, and I find that light throttling is enough on D mode , as well as not having to clutch and throttle hard on gear changes, actually caused some behavior changes to me in that I've become a more mellow and forgiving rider. I don't feel rushed at all.

Why I like my NC700 DCT

Trouble moving off on an incline ; damage to all my left shoes ; frequent gear management in traffic jams ; still in 3/4/5/6 when the light turns green ; gear change jerking ... All a thing of the past with the DCT ! Love it!

    new to NC700x DCT ... have a question ..

Yup. The synthetic wrapping has tiny bubbles to keep you from sliding forward unlike the oily smooth wrap on the 700

    NC700X Designer

Moving up to VP design. Bajaj recently came up with some pretty aggressive design, especially with the 200NS. They are also helping Ktm with the production of the Duke 200. Interesting times for him.

4 month waiting list for DCTs in the UK

Here in Singapore the wait time for a 750D is 6 mths up. That's because the 700D took too long a time to clear and the main distributor is scared of getting stuck with stock. They still had an DN-01 in their showroom recently! I was lucky to pick up my 700D last November at a discount. It was...

    Theoretical question on the DCT.

Turns out something similar happened to me today. Was going downhill in fifth when I fiddled with my gps and accidentally hit the engine shutoff switch . didn't realize it until I throttle and got nothing. The bike was still rolling forward without noticeable resistance. Turned off the engine...

    Almost ready but.....

I think most buyers of NC get it for its fuel efficiency and storage reasons. You'll be sorely disappointed if it is speed or dualsport performance the Nc's image portrays. I usually keep to 60 when I ride. Lower than that on 6th and there's a bit of jerkiness from the engine from too low rpm. I...

    Almost ready but.....

I have a DCT for about a year. It's a great commuter bike and I love it. Do not be deceived by the looks cos this is Honda's slickest marketing gimmick. It really is a cow in wolf clothing. Don't worry about the rev limit, if you're the rider Honda intends for the NC, you'll likely never hit it...

what is the quietest tire you have had on the NC?

I wear earplugs to save my hearing. Way cheaper and more effective than changing tires to go quiet ;)

    She'll be here soon - NC700X DCT

Hello and welcome to the dct family! I have a red 13 700 dct that I've named Ruby. Riding is such a breeze on this baby. I wonder how much difference in feel is the 700 dct vs the 750 dct. I'm 95% on D mode and only use the S mode in very heavy traffic for snap decision and heavier engine...

    Is it just me?

Dropped mine when I pushed the bike slightly forward without realizing the side stand had been shifted. This is a tall and heavy bike. Once you moved beyond the central neutral, the weight is significant and it's hard to recover.
