    I bent it!

Weeeelllll, while riding in the Cohutta Wilderness of North GA and TN this past Sunday...I hit a rock and bent my front wheel/rim. :( Yes I am upset but I am chalking it up as a freak thing and not blaming it on the NC or its abilities or inabilities OR any so called short comings. Some will...

Begrudgingly selling my NC for a CB; just not friendly enough to small rider

Perfectly describes why my NC is lowered...

How the NC stacks up against the Africa twin.

Waiting to see if this AT becomes reality...(I may need a step ladder to get on it though)

OFF ROAD NC's (Pics and Mods)

In this thread, I would love to see pics of NCs that are used off road AND what mods/farkles you have made to the bike to make it off road capable...if any. The currently active "NC on the TAT?" thread inspired me to start this thread as there is much discussion of whether the NC can or cant do...

    engineering question: tires

I thought I had seen someone tie rope around the tire and it worked. Safety would be my main concern if it broke and wrapped itself or that it could interfere with the brakes.

    NC on the TAT?

I want to do the TAT on my NC!!! As the above opinions suggest, there is NO perfect bike for the TAT. Big Adventure Bikes seem to be the best choice for the EAST side and due to the fact you'll have to carry "stuff." Smaller Dual Sport Bikes seem to be best for the WEST side once in CO due to...

    DCT In Review

I too am in deep DEEP LOVE with my DCT! I wish my CRF250L was DCT. If they offer that as an option in it in the future in a smaller bike (dual sport), I will sell my CRF and get it. Have actually even looked into a Zero just cause its "automatic" but not enough range vs price to justify...

ever try a 110/80x17 front tire?

I run a TKC80 120/70/17 front and Shinko 805 150/70/17 rear on my NC700XD but my CRF250L has a Kenda 3.00-21 front and a Kenda 120/80/18 Rear. I Lately I have been thinking that my wider NC tires are much more stable in lose crap than the skinnier CRF tires. Not being an idiot, I am sure the...

    Lowering question

I second moto...the only difference you will feel is your foot flat on the ground. I also installed the Soupys Adjustable Links and LOVE THEM! I lowered 2" in back and lowered forks as far as they would go. I am thinking of raising her to 1" lowered just to gain back some ground clearance...

My NC like Playing in Water

All the crossings on the video are legal "road" crossings. I truly try to be considerate of people AND nature and not disturb anything else or anyone else BUT I almost had to run over a fisherman the other day in a stream. He gave me the worst look ever though HE was the one standing in the...

My NC like Playing in Water

Hahaha Yeah, I havent found anything that the NC with the 17" wont climb over. I am sure a 19 or 21 would make it "easier" to climb over downed trees, rocks, and ruts BUT the NC does just fine off road dont she with her 17?!?!?

My NC like Playing in Water

I try to keep my girl upright so I dont have too many pics of her underside....hehehe...here is a link to actual one I bought...SW-MOTECH Skid Plate for Honda NC700 / NC750 with DCT | TwistedThrottle.com Just put my second TKC80 front and third Shinko 805 on rear...gotta stick with what works!

    adventure rides??

I have a 2014 NC700XD...DCT Model. I have packed it up like a mule with my camping stuff and ridden off road for hundreds of miles with no issues at all AND I have also single tracked the NC in some tight stuff. Things it needs: Correct Tires for the Job, Skid Plate A MUST, Barkbusters to...
