Just a though... What about adding a quick lock ring to the rack? I don't know the dimensions so this may not be feasible at all. In theory though you could have a sturdy rack that you could attach / detach a bag in seconds and fill up.
This thread has a pic (post #8) of the type of ring I'm...
Not my thread or pics, but it has good info on fitting the Shinkos and rising the fender.

How about adding some oversize fronts to the list? Maybe with an "asterisk" though and an explanation that the size is actually a rear and technically the "wrong " size. For example Shinko 705s can be fitted to the front too ->...
This would be my choice complemented with a lockable cap from a Honda Ruckus. Wouldn't you be able to make the rack sturdier if the hinged part is removed completely?
With any luck one of the SW Motech rear racks will fit good enough to be used for that purpose. There are a lot of different models, but the trouble is finding the most compatible one.
I have the same desire, but havent been able to find anything. I would actually prefer one that had a hole in it so I could access the fuel cap directly.
Great, thanks! I'm planning ahead on farkles I want to add if I decide to get the NC. It's At least a 4 month wait until riding season arrives though. :(
Are there some crash bars or center stands that you know of that do NOT fit with this crash plate installed?
The SW Motech crash bars at least seem to fit fine.
True. I didn't think about the amps at all.
BTW, no snow at all so far which is a bit unusual, but winters tend to vary quite a bit in western Finland as far as snow amount is concerned. The NCX on the local dealer floor should be rideable since roads are dry, but it seems that it's not a test...
Disagree slightly :p. I can't say for the NC for sure but there was no difference on the generator output idling or revving the engine on two of my previous bikes. (Ducati & Yamaha). I actually measured the output when both had electrical problems at one point.
