I liked the OEM bags. I like how they use the bike key, and I like how tightly they fit to the bike. I would try to buy a used set, they are expensive. I bought a set of Cee Baileys saddle bag liners which let me efficiently use all of the awkwardly-shaped space inside the hard cases.
You'll have to compare coverage maps to see which is better for a given area. I carry two phones, on separate networks. My 2nd phone only costs about $3/month (if I don't use it. It's just a backup). I keep that in my jacket in case I get "detached" from the bike and can't get back to it to...
Wow this is really cool, I can see this being useful the next time someone in our group gets separated. When that happens now they have to make a phone call and call someone in the group, and that person has to drop out of the group intercom and take the call. This will make it all seamless, and...
They look nice but I would never use battery powered gloves. I plug my gloves in, they always work and never have a dead battery. But I sometimes ride all day (traveling), battery powered would probably work fine for commuters, if you don't mind the hassle of keeping them charged.
Yea I've tried LEDs a few times in my various taillights but always ended up sending them back. But I found this $20 flashing LED to be as bright as a regular bulb. I like that it flashes both the brake and the tail, it's really attention-getting. I think I have a post on here somewhere showing...
I like having two bikes, I've owned a small bike (Honda CBR250) and a larger bike (NC700x or more recently a Versys 650 LT) for a few years. My CBR is just sooo fun and it is so easy to drive. By that I mean it's effortless to make the bike go where I want to, I can turn very sharp, etc. But...
Ok. If they are leaking it's probably a problem with the waterproof membrane, which is under the leather layer and probably hard to fix. But waterproofing the leather could help because maybe less water will reach the waterproof membrane. I used Gorilla Tape to temporarily fix mine when I...
I think you are trolling? South Dakota is a beautiful state, with great riding. I used to ride my motorcycle out there two or three times a year when I had more time. And vacation there with the family in the car. And yes I'm talking about the western part of the state, there isn't much to do in...
I love my SJ4000. Someone on this forum pointed out that you can get a waterproof charging case for $20. It will cost you over $100 for a waterproof charging case for a GoPro!.
I plan to leave mine permanently mounted on the bike dash-cam mode using the waterproof charging case.
This is the route I would go for being able to power a compressor. Most people want one of these installed for keeping the battery charged anyway. The dealers around here install these on every new bike they sell. You might still need to switch to a larger size fuse in the harness.
If you buy...
I have a trimmed piece that fits. It is a pain to get in there, after having to reinstall the light bar (bad directions!) I didn't put it back in the 2nd time. So I have it here, even though my NC700x was totaled. I could put it in a flat rate box for you for $7. That way you could keep your...
