Just one man's opinion but I installed the "Amazon Recommends" $9.99 Grip Puppy generic copies on my 700X and they are excellent. They were a moderate PITA to get on but worth the effort. They fit the X grips perfectly and did not require any trimming like the longer Grip Puppies did...and it kind of annoys me every time I see my below average trimming skills on that bike. These $10 grips are half the price of the GPs and they seem to be similar quality. The installation tip that helped me was using a butter knife carefully to lift up the leading edge and allow the soapy water to get down underneath. It was still an exercise to get them worked all the way onto the grip--lots of soapy water (Dawn/water mix) and maybe a little more Dawn in the mix would have made them easier to install. Regardless, they eventually went on and they are a nice improvement over the narrow stock grips. I had no problem getting the throttle lock and Cramp Buster on. They're tight but fine. If you've never tried Grip Puppies (or variants), these $10 Amazon jobs are worth a try. The grips are more comfortable and reduce vibrations. Here's the Amazon model:

I am a big fan of Grip Puppy's. I use them on my motorcycles & mountain bike. Comfortable & economical.

I have the grip puppies on 2 of my bikes. Maybe I'll try these next time. I used air to put mine on. (air compressor)
