Stopping at a light? You're probably doing it wrong.

I’d have to look it up but I’m pretty sure just oil pressure holds the clutch packs engaged which is kind of reversed from a manual clutch that is held disengaged. Solenoids and valves control the direction of oil pressure to the correct pack. There is a clutch lift bearing on a manual NC but for...

    Seat Concepts Seats

I agree with bigbird. Seats are hugely subjective and I consider myself extremely lucky that my butt isn't that particular.... on my NCs I have had good experiences with a stock 2012 seat with the Showkey mod, a Sargent, and a Corbin. I did 1000+ mile rides on the stock one and the Sargent and...

    DCT failure

There was at least one incident with a DCT Goldwing where the owner installed aftermarket hand grips that caused an abnormal idle speed speed which prevented it from going into gear without numerous attempts. No way will the DCT allow shifting into gear with the idle at 2100 rpm. The clutch is...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Maybe you got the ride height to where the rear shock is not hitting the bottom of its travel on the worst bumps.

What did you do to/with your other motorcycle/scooter/trike today?

Rode the RT from Florida to Virginia today for a few days riding roads around Willville Motorcycle Camp.

    Fenda Extenda…how to attach?

I like the belt and suspenders approach of double sided tape and small screws.

SOLD Dale's Rack for sale $200 + shipping

Like melensdad I feel no discomfort from contact with the rack. I had this rack and a Sargent on an earlier NC and now I have a Corbin with this rack. If one was tall or otherwise long-limbed they might naturally sit further back and be in constant contact with the rack but that is not my situation.

    Long Haul on an '18

I’ve done 9 IBA rides with three on an NC. SS1000, BB1500, another SS1000. The latter was fallout from a BBG attempt. At 850 miles in I had 2+ hours in the bank and came upon a miles long backup on I-75 at 4 PM. The wait, traffic, and temperature sapped my ambition. I calculated the distance...

Heads up. Good price on GIVI tank bag (EA116) for 66 bucks.

Maybe a few yahoos loaded a carpet bag there and broke the hinge mount on the frunk lid, pulled the rails out of the lid, or crashed the bike when a bag came loose. Did the years with loop mounts have a placard for maximum weight allowed on top of the lid? Honda legal team removed that warranty...

Heads up. Good price on GIVI tank bag (EA116) for 66 bucks.

I use a Cortech Super Mini tank bag down inside the frunk as a 'road bag' for all the little things I carry on every ride on each of my bikes. I just pull it out of the frunk when I take one of the other bikes. Air pressure gauge, assorted charge cords, leatherman multi-tool, powerbank, ear...

    Long Haul on an '18

If you submitted it to the IBA you’ll join a single digit club that’s done a 1000+ in less than 24 on an NC.

Keep 'em coming... the forum needs a topic like this now and then. It was worth the discussion in my opinion.

2015 NC700 DCT clunking and shuttering

What are the tire sizes on the bike and how many miles have you ridden it?

Stopping at a light? You're probably doing it wrong.

Yes, muscle memory training is everything and playing the What If & What Would I Do Game on a regular basis is an important street riding strategy. A rider on another forum told a story about riding down the interstate when "suddenly all I saw was brake lights in all three lanes. There was...

    Hello from Everett, WA!

Yes, the first scratch and they are not new anymore. On my first NC I installed a set of Givi E36 panniers and on one of the first rides with luggage on the right one fell off when I hit a dip in the road. My fault, I did not secure it correctly. I was going about 30 mph and I saw the thing hop...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Hmmn, I ride a lot and I still wash my bikes. Not like I used to but still fairly often. We have so many bugs in FL between now and November I can't stand to see an accumulation of them. Sometimes I just squeeze bottle the frontal surfaces with a mix of home made 50/50 hydrogen peroxide...
