LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES mentality -vs- A.T.G.A.T.T. mentality

I read somewhere that a white helmet references a motorcycle cop and thus triggers recognition of the motorcycle over a colored helmet. I've thought about coloring some large blue dots on my windscreen. Wearing high viz gear I know that I've been mistaken for a motorcycle cop.

    Blowing fuses on charging circuit

Thanks for the reply. Key was off when pump ran and when fuse blew. All accessories disconnected and fuse blew. I reviewed the wiring diagram and then checked the location of the components and connections. What a rats nest. I think I'm going to remove all accessories and take it to the...

    It’s All About The Slope!

I put a Seat Concepts low cover on mine. Worked fine, but more expensive than the above. Put 25,000 miles on her with a few 500 mile days.

    Blowing fuses on charging circuit

This is actually a problem on my Himalayan, but electrical circuits are similar. I came home to a dead battery. Replaced the battery, but the bike was still dead. Found a blow fuse on the charging circuit. Replaced the fuse and it immediately blew. Any suggestions. Also, the ABS pump would...

LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES mentality -vs- A.T.G.A.T.T. mentality

I live in a 55 plus community that has a motorcycle group and I ride with them occasionally. All but one of the riders are on cruisers, mostly Harleys. They generally are loud, but not straight pipe loud. The helmets (we have a helmet law) run the gamut. Some of the guys wear jackets, gloves...

2013 NC700X missing misc clips, screws, etc

Try Babbitts on line fiche. takes a bit to get the parts, but you can find what you need. Many of the little shoulder bolts look the same, but vary in size. I always order a few extras to carry.

Dude, don't go. As a former photography teacher, I've always enjoyed your photos and appreciated the compositions. You live in a much different part of the country from myself and I am always amazed at the views. Apologies for not always commenting, I run out of superlatives. Anyway, don't you...

    Beowulf exhaust

I once owned a used DR650 with an FMF exhaust. One of the first things I did was get a quieter pipe. Exhausting to listen to a loud pipe all day.

2020: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

I love the BRP also, but there are many great roads in the east. and yes, its mostly green. When I was just out of college I took a grad student from Arizona hiking in the Smoky's. He was blown away. Kept talking about all the trees.
