A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
I also hit the kill switch accidently when I first got the bike. I then purchased an inexpensive plastic throttle lock.
I never use it as a throttle lock, but by leaving it in the 'straight up' position, it serves as a buffer for my throttle hand. No more problems of accidently hitting buttons...
Absolutely! My bike was parked on the street a while back at a dealership. Apparently someone bumped into it, knocking it off its stand. The bike landed with the crashbars resting on the granite berm edge. I lucked out in that the section of the bars that hit the granite had a small storage bag...
Press down on the lid and remove the key. Then re-insert the key slowly, stopping frequently to turn the key to the right. Maintain the downward lid pressure while you turn the key.

I had to set mine to only flash 3 times before going steady to avoid suddenly seeing a flashing blue light behind me!
I went with these a few years ago and have had no issues. The rubber side is great for every-day use. You can easily remove ( 1 bolt ) the rubber pad leaving a very 'knobby' billet pad for off-road use.

For the price, the manufacturers stand will do the job. There are other brands out there such as SW-Motech, but they can run a lot more money.
I've had one on since I got the bike, and I've never had an issue. It's one of those gizmos that when you need it, nothing else will do.

Anyone have any info on a foot pad/peg extension that can be attached to the stock foot brake peg?
I currently am using the 1/2 dowel-in-the-hole trick, but I would feel better with something more stable. I am trying to avoid welding an extension onto the factory peg. Any ideas?
Just added these to my bike. They can be fitted on the stock frame or, as in my case, on Givi bars. So far I'm liking them. And they're an easy install.
