I have tested the tall OEM windshield and found it not quite enough height (I am 5’7”). So I added an adjustable bracket which enabled me to raise it enough to work perfectly. I am now quite pleased. Though in retrospect a taller windshield alone would also work.
Were you able to obtain the matching connector for the switch? If so what is needed/where to get? (I have the same switch, but will not use the factory fog lights.)

I previously tried one for a previous year and as a previous poster indicated, it didn’t fit. But this one does and the price is great. Quality seems fine too. I recommend it. Oh and you can get it in several colors too.
I have wondered what this area was reserved for. I don’t see any (unlit) lcd elements there, so can’t even speculate. But at one time before I got my bike, I hoped it was reserved for a future cruise control accessory. {Sigh}
Those are the same bars I chose for my 21 NC. They are quality made in Eastern Europe, sturdy, easy to install (I did have to slightly enlarge one mount hole that wouldn’t quite line up) and attractively priced. Will certainly protect the front half of the bike (minus perhaps bar ends/levers)...
