Question about left side panel fasteners on '12 NC700X

Of course I know the experienced and smart mechanic will devise a system to mark and keep the fasteners organized for re-assembly. Unfortunately at this point I am merely a stubborn mechanic. So far my egg carton organizer has not proven to be fool-proof. Proving only that nothing is...

Question about left side panel fasteners on '12 NC700X

it looks like you are talking about the attachment at the front of the bike above the radiator, if I seeing that correctly in your pic. That clip would be #10 on the parts fiche. Of course they dont include which screw goes in there on that screen! But it is a phillips (or more correctly -...

    Brake Pads

I was replacing my pads using some EBC pads and doing a little research and found this thread and came up with a question regarding the little documented shims. When I pulled the rear pads they did not have the shim. I can easily believe that I did not pull them off the old ones when I...

    MotoSkivees

I bought a pair a few years ago for summer riding. I have a pair 10 yo LD Comfort long leg but they do not have any padding. I can't say one is any better than the other or better than bike shorts for that matter but both of them are better than regular briefs in not creeping up on me. When...

Are There Ways to Change the NC700X Ergonomics for Bigger/Taller Riders?

I'm 6' - 210 lbs and have done following; Seat Concepts tall seat - Knight Designs lower foot pegs and Rox risers for the handle bars. These have made the NC700 pretty comfortable for me.

BMW built a self-riding motorcycle to help develop safety tech - Roadshow From the article: "BMW seems to feel that it's close to being able to equip its bikes with things like automatic emergency braking and active lane-keep assist which could be neat from a technical perspective. However, as...

Which way to go, Colorado or Tail of Dragon?

afan, I think the info in the thread that is leading you to lean towards Dragon and points South is right on. So not trying to change your mind, but when you do get chance to come to Colorado a couple of thoughts on your map; First, out on the west slope do not miss CO 92 from Hotchkiss down...

jdr, i don't know how helpful your advice is on it's merits but it is almost 2 years after the symptoms were reported. Hopefully, Dan solved his problem by now. This looks like it is your first post after 6 years on the site - admirable restraint! But seriously, thanks for jumping in and...
