    Unpredictable front suspension

yep - that was the impression I got And if there were a few bumps in the corner I think it overwhelmed the rebound damping as well so the fork locked up well before it was using most of it's travel. And I'm talking about the Showa Dual bending valve system here which isn't available in all...

    Unpredictable front suspension

I agree with all Griff says, but even so the front forks IMHO crashed dangerously when hitting a bump mid corner. So much so that it often stood me up making me run wide. The racetech valves have almost got the fornt end as good as the pre-2016 bikes :D Mike PS I think ramping the preload at...

    Bruudt winscreen adjusters: HIGHLY UN-RECOMMENDED

yes I agree - I wasted a lot of money on mine Mike

RaceTech Gold Valve Emulators and Springs...

Yes Supertux that's the same maths I used to come to my conclusion. It's still ok to use 50mm sag measured along the fork tube though because that equates to 45-ish mm vertical travel which is of course still 1/3 of the 137mm BTW I also came to the conclusion that at the rear it may not be...

RaceTech Gold Valve Emulators and Springs...

Spot on Supertex IMHO and if you are about my weight (180lbs plus rider gear) then 1.5 or 1 turn of preload on the emulators might be slightly better. Mine are still set on 2 turns but it thumps a bit on fast bumps. Mike Mike

RaceTech Gold Valve Emulators and Springs...

Ah yes I forgot that you guys didn't get the Showa fork. Well this next comment is going to be controversial then. Be careful what you wish for, as I found the previous (ie your current) front suspension ideal. When I bought the new Showa DBVS equipped bike I had to learn a lot about...

RaceTech Gold Valve Emulators and Springs...

Yes - I got similarly high figures for the sag with the standard 2016 forks. I weight 180lbs and the ride of the 2016 bike compared to my previous '12 and '14 NC bikes was appalling. The forks jittered about so much I couldn't use the mirrors and they were so rough in bumpy corners it was IMHO...

6000km on the NC750X DCT and not very happy.

What I can't get an answer to though is whether the winglet things and the 2016 mounting kit work with the Honda oem hand guards Mike

6000km on the NC750X DCT and not very happy.

At the moment I am riding with a stock screen and a vario lip addition. I also have a cut down standard screen and I modified a pre-2016 screen to fit, and I have tried all combinations with Bruddit screen adjusters. I have also tried it with no screen at all and this provided the smoothest...

6000km on the NC750X DCT and not very happy.

Errrrm no. In manual mode you will bounce off the rev limiter which feels horrible and the gearbox will not change up itself Mine is fine in crosswinds. Headwinds can slow it down and sometimes the auto box will change down into 5th if it makes the engine labour I find riding into a strong...

    Pics of a madstad 20in??

Thanks FezUSA - that picture explains a lot. But whew that's a hell of a lot of bracketry hung on the 4 small nuts from the original honda screen mounting points - I'm presuming there are no reports of these popping out when there is high wind pressure on the screen and deflectors - or we'd...

Thanks fezusa Any idea on the deflectors? And whether they work with the Honda hand guards? Mike

    2016 NC700X Windscreen options...

Can anyone tell me how the winglets for the Madstad are fixed to the 2016 bike (to the fairing, or the screen or the handlebars?) Also I have been right through this thread and can't see whether anyone has used this screen with the OEM Honda handguards for the 2016 bike Thanks Mike

    Pics of a madstad 20in??

Sorry if this has already been asked but do Madstad do a screen for the 2016 bike and in particular the deflector kit. I can't find the answers on their website Thanks Mike

Help! Can't re-attach positive battery bolt!

yeah - it's almost certainly because the nut is too deep down and you need to push something in to get it closer to the bolt end. I always now put some foam sponge under the nut so that it's pushed hard up under the metal bracket. Not needed if you only have one wire connecting to the terminal...

    Sit&Fly / Sit & Fly Seat Cover

I think the raised tongue is the key. I you don't do that then the pressure of that extra 9mm just doesn't allow the wings to go far enough forwards and down for the tongue to engage. I really like the slope of the seat as it comes so I suspect this cover is not going to work for me unless I can...

    Sit&Fly / Sit & Fly Seat Cover

I have tried fitting my sit & Fly cover today, and there's just no way I can see how the seat is going to fit. The cover material is adding 9mm all round and it's preventing thr tongue of the seat locating in the hole, and even when I once managed to force it in at some ridicilours angle, I...

    Aiding in clear visiion...

This is what makes life easier for me on winter days in the UK I can use it on the move but obviously only with the rubber wipe on my glove but if I do want to stop and use it with a cloth, it saves raking around for the fluid. The bottle is held in a RAM handlebar mount, which in the summer...

getting my bike through the winter

The sound quality is staggering isn't it, considering I paid no attention to it. Sometimes I was behind the mic when I was speaking sometimes above it and sometimes in front where you would expect, and all at different distances. At first I got me centred mainly by luck and including a fair bit...

getting my bike through the winter

Yeah I thought about that too, GN but I don't think the FS365 would work on a cloth as the water in the emulsion would simply soak into the cloth whilst the oil would transfer to the bike (I think). The clever idea in the FS365 is to make a permanent micro emulsion that manages to get a very...
