On my NC700X today, I went to pick up a parcel from the post office depot. Got the parcel and came out. While I was unlocking my disc lock to head home, a man came out after me and said "That is a really nice looking bike". He was proper taken with it. I was so proud

Has anyone here used the Blizzards? I'm planning on getting the Barkbuster Storm handguards (which seem to have a couple of fans here) and I wonder if those, along with the existing heated grips will be enough to see me through a UK winter. Putting a pair of Blizzards over the top will be pricey...

Thanks very much for the info. I have now gained access. Alas it was empty, so no Owner's Manual for me. Not sure what I will keep in there. Would a bar of chocolate melt from the heat of the engine?

Interesting, but how does one actually open that secret compartment? I have grabbed the edge and yanked it a few times but it feels like it will break before it opens. I would really like there to be an Owner's Manual in there (I bought bike second hand) but have yet to gain access...

Thanks Dave, and everyone else. I had noticed the absence of an external hemet lock, and the hook under the pillion seat. I did not connect these two things with the thing I found though. I'm not sure if I will use it, but at least I have the option now. Now to find an owners manual Cheers E

I pick up my NC700X next week (fingers crossed) but I'm planning a trip already and I am certain to get lost. I can get a Garmin zumo 390LM - but as far as I know the bike has no power socket to charge it. Am I likely to be able to shove a backup battery in the frunk and run the GPS off that...
