Any nt700v and nc700x owners here?

Our national speed limit is 70MPH but most motorway traffic tends to cruise at around 85 MPH and I never had any trouble keeping with them. Acceleration may not be exiting but is certainly more than adequate. As to weather protection whilst not in the same class as your Wing or a ST1300 but is...

Any nt700v and nc700x owners here?

I owned 2 NTV650s followed by a NTV700 ( NTVs were more commonly known as Deauville this side of the pond) as my 2nd bikes used for a 75 mile daily commute all year round as I don’t have a car licence. When the 700 got to be high mileage I exchanged it for a new NC700X. After a few months I...

DCT or Manual on a 2017

I had a DCT VFR1200 and found that after a few weeks the novelty wore off and I was using it in manual mode 99% of the time unless on a long motorway run. I appreciate that some people love the system but for me unless I need DCT for physical reasons it will be manual for me.

    Uprated Headlight

I'm not impressed with the LED headlight that my 2017 NC750X comes fitted with. It is very good for being seen by others but mot for seeing where you are going.

About to return to the fold

I bought the CB500X with a lowering kit because I could no longer move my CBF1000 around following the injuries to my foot I then moved on to another CB500X without the lowering kit as my foot had improved a bit. Now it has improved a bit more I can manage the lowered NC. The CB500 was fine but...

About to return to the fold

Not a new member but an old one returning. In December 2013 I was knocked of my NTV700 which had replaced my NC700X. The bike was totalled and I had serious injuries to my right foot which is still causing me a few problems. I could no longer mnage to move my CBF1000 around so that was sold. I...

Begrudgingly selling my NC for a CB; just not friendly enough to small rider

I got an email notifying me of a reply to a very old thread and saw that there was a thread regarding the Honda CB500X which following my accident is my choice of ride. I used to really enjoy this forum but sadly had to leave due to the amount of personal abuse I was getting from 2 members both...

Begrudgingly selling my NC for a CB; just not friendly enough to small rider

I'm now on my 2nd CB500X which I'm very happy with. Having had much larger bikes but having to get something lower and lighter due to a serious foot injury in December 2013 I thought it would be far less fun. I can assure you that is not the case. Having had to retire the fact that I get 80+ MPG...

A good reason to always wear the correct gear

The NTV is tottalled I will probably just keep the CBF 1000 unless the foot doesn't recover well enough to support the weight in which case I will trade it for something lighter.

A good reason to always wear the correct gear

Having just spent 3 1/2 weeks in hospital awaiting an operation to fix multiple fractures to my right foot following being t-boned by a car driver I can only stress the importance of wearing the correct gear at all times. I was only riding home from work but had proper bike boots on. The surgeon...
