    Side stand switch connector location?

Did it again tonight. Just wouldn't start and time was getting tight as I had a Dental appointment. I was getting a bit stressed lol! I'll find where that connector is tomorrow and put a jumper in.

    Side stand switch connector location?

So the actual sensor unplugs from the loom? That should make fitting the new one an easier job. Great info, thanks.

    Side stand switch connector location?

Hi All My 02 DCT NCX's side stand switch is playing up. The Bike keeps not starting unless I take it off the stand and a couple of time this week it still hasn't started and i've had to disconnect and reconnect the battery. I'm worried its going to die completely before the replacement switch...

2021: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Broke it! It didn't start this morning!? Battery (2 month old Motobatt) was flat as a Witches tit (0.9v) !? I still had the old Varta battery which was still charged up so put that in and got into work okay. No idea if it'll start again later though. The only thing I can think that would have...

2021: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Finally got round to fitting the new chain today. I used my new Sealey VS779 tool to do it with and was very pleased with the way the tool worked. :) The spotlights on the bike are turning in giving it a boss eyed look and I wanted to adjust them, but its started raining which turned to...

Chain tights spots and rear sprocket oscillation.

A dial gauge will certainly be more accurate than my neanderthal hammering, so I consider myself corrected. As I almost corrected the tight spot, but certainly improving, I'm wondering if I got lucky by hammering, well tapping, the wood against the chain and sprockets dislodged some rust on a...

    Clunking on shifting and acceleration

My 2012 DCT clunks a lot on the lower gears at slight/part throttle openings.

Chain tights spots and rear sprocket oscillation.

Something I learnt along time ago is chain tight spots is really a misnomer. When the chain gets tight in its revolution, its mostly because, rusted links not withstanding, the rear sprocket is oscillating. I had this once before where it was enough to cause concern, but its something I've not...

2021: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

After the Wirth springs didn't fit, they were returned and I was refunded and the search for new springs continued. I bagged a pair of k-tech 9.0 springs on eBay. I made up some spacers and fitted them and hoped it'd be alright using shorter springs? Initial impressions is ideally, the damping...

2021: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Had a problem today. I'm struggling to get these fender bolts off and I need to remove the forks to do the job properly, but am waiting on the new bolts I ordered to be delivered. Sadly due to covid our post is very delayed and they wont be here for another week or so. I decided I'd pop the OEM...

2021: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Today I removed the MRA style wind deflector. No matter what way I angle this it causes turbulence, so i'll see if its better without it. My 750x had soem slidey screen adjuster brackets and I don't recall suffering turbulence with those fitted/adjusted? I fitted some of the ubiquitous Chinese...

2021: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Hi, I only recently got the bike and its to be my daily commuter for travelling into London (UK) and back. The roads are full of potholes, so I'm looking to put some soft, compliant suspension on there, as the current set up is bone jarringly harsh! The front is still so harsh I initially...

2021: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Fitted my Fakerapovic and Hagon rear shock. I was going to fit m Wirth front springs and 10wt oil but two of the fender bolts rounded off and I don't have replacements. Stainless steel replcements duly ordered. Once here I'll nuke the oldones out and get on with the front suspension service.

    Triple Tree Stand

Yup. Managed to get the bike on the stand by removing the bolt and moving the brake pipes out of the way. Need two people to get it on the stand though, but well worth it.

    Triple Tree Stand

Boing! I have to take the front wheel out and my 700x doesn't have a centre stand, so I wondered if my triple tree stand would fit? Searching found me this thread and I saw your comment and had a quick look at mine and the bock does look like it will be in the way? Anyone else using a triple...

Bike holding too high idle speed (2k)?

Last week after riding home from work, I stopped at a junction and the bike was pulling forward, like I was holding the throttle partly open? It wasn't a struggle and the brakes easily held it, but I could feel the bike pulling forward? I pulled into a garage to get petrol and as I stopped at...
