Wait... so this is the guy? Hold on a sec, let me sharpen my pitchfork here...
All kidding aside (most kidding aside), congrats on getting it setup to your liking.
Not sure your needs from a luggage system, but I heartily recommend the Caribou/Givi/Pelican Storm system. It's served me...
I think I'm going to try out mounting it in the frunk in that groove on the underside. I guess worst case scenario is they send me a bill after shooting my registered tags with their cameras.
Thanks for the suggestions all!
Thanks for the suggestions folks!
I'm trying to avoid anything that requires me to remember to place it and remove it (already forgot once and had to shut down the bike on the side of the road to get the transponder out of the frunk) or anything where it's always out, otherwise I'd just use the...
I just started a new job that requires me to take the toll road to get across town. Up until now, I would just put the transponder in a RAM Mount X-grip which works pretty well for reading. I'm curious to see what others have come up with for mounting these things so that they're relatively...
No vacuum with this shield. The mount places the shield above the bike and allows air to flow under it and equalize the air pressure. This negates the vacuum that large shields on full fairing bikes get.
I wear earplugs so noise isn't really an issue for me.
Getting the Madstad just...
Regular Height or Low height. If you don't have issues with touching the ground with the stock seat, get the regular. I can't speak for the low option. Great out of the box, even better after a little breaking in. Night and day from the stock seat.
Ahh, I see now. That didn't make sense when I first saw it. Might have lost context as I was searching for specific highway peg options. Neat solution.
I'm not even sure what's going on anymore.
Are we just modding to mod? I mean that's cool if that's what you want to do... but... what am I looking at here?
He's probably got it mounted to the place where the Honda light bar mounts under the beak. Pretty clever. I would have done something similar (still might) if I hadn't mounted aux LED spots to the forks. The extra light definitely help both light and visibility.
That second attempt is looking...
This is a really neat idea!
If you do a local search for lighting and sound equipment you might be able to find a dealer that has free swatches. These swatches usually have about 200+ color gels (different colors and hues). If all you need is a postage stamp size, you could get 2-3 per sample...
Showkey, I think I saw that wrong the first time I looked at it. I thought it was a photoshop gag. After looking again, I see what you were going for. If you can make a motorized shield for the NC, then hats off to ya! That would be pretty sweet! I've adjusted my Madstad almost daily lately...
I dunno, the double highbeam, double signal, double horn might be too much to keep up with just to have the FJR EZ-windshield. I'll stick with my Madstad. ;)
Seat Concepts use a pretty decent weather proof material. Water doesn't seem to easily permeate the fabric. Unless you ride in the rain most of the time, I don't think I would worry about it. If you do ride in rain daily, get a seat cover of some type or find a really kick-*** garage to park in.
Hah! And here I was thinking that turbodieseli4i6 was my kinda guy only to realize after reading the last few posts that he had just quoted me. Ahh well, you can keep that like, heh.
As always, certain inflections are lost in type... There was a touch of tongue in cheek sarcasm involved in...
