Well... this befuddles me. Was out riding the bike a couple days ago and the high beam just decides to work again. Honestly... I had check all the connections, even checked the 5v supposedly coming out of the headlight assembly sending the signal to the dash to illuminate the indicator... and...
The wiring diagram is of an earlier model with halogen headlights... but it still helps a little. I think the only thing that may have changed is the LED headlight assembly and some of the wiring associated.
My high beam has failed on the 750X.. but to be honest, I tapped into the 5v wire in the back of the connector. I was needing a trigger to run some auxiliary lights when the high beam was switched on. I had isolated the light through a relay and didn't think the coil draw would be enough (on a...
Ok... so they are going to wrap a cage around the bikes... maybe add another two wheels and a monkey on the back to slap you silly if you do something daring! I just knew it was coming... lol
OK, here's the scoop on the 2019 NC750X. This year model has LED headlights and for the life of me, I haven't been able to get a hold of a service manual for the 2019 model year.... still trying. Anyhow, after carefully prodding around on the wiring connector to the back of the head light...
Just about to make this connection. All the wires are run, most of the connectors made up... after going to see about my ailing mother in law, I will return to ferret out this portion of the circuit. A wiring diagram I view the other day indicated a blue wire for the high beam on the 2019...
Just putting the question out there because I don't have a manual yet...
Can anyone tell me which color wire on the headlight connector powers up the high beam? I can and most likely will in another day or two find it on my own with my dvm... but though I would ask someone else who's BTDT...
Today my top case rack arrived, a few days ago the top "plate" arrived. Cannot install either one yet as my shoulder is still healing form surgery. The racks for the side cases are still "parked" in Italy.... supposed to arrive Friday, but I doubt it. FedEx is not real precise on their...
When I was learning electronics in the U.S. Navy, we had a saying..."Green is ground the world around". An it is generally true. If you have green it is usually ground. In the absence of green, then black is ground.
Today the Givi 48 liter side cases arrived! I'm happy! The task in front of me now is ordering the racks for the side cases and the top rack for the 42 liter top box that I will eventually order.
What's not to clear is the tail "plate" that the 42 liter Trekker Outback case mates with. On one...
A little update... So Far I have installed 1) Madstad 18" Windshield, 2) Center Stand, 3) Aux Flashing Brake light, 4) Handle Bar Risers, 5) Givi Hand Protectors.
There was a little snafu with the Givi Trekker Outback cases. I ordered a pair of 48 ltr. side cases from Twisted Throttle at a...
While reviewing this post... about lights, I noticed the highway pegs on your bike. I'm a new NC owner with a desire to install some highway pegs in the future. So If you don't mind me hijacking the thread for a post or two... can you tell me who makes them and where to purchase? Thanks
The basic plan is to develop a broad base platform... so I can do a little of everything. I am getting the bags, top trunk for possible overnight or a couple of nights camping out. Received a bad neck injury a couple of years ago and cannot tolerate long days in the saddle any longer. Sold my...
I scored a great deal on a pair of Givi Trekker Outback 42 liter side cases for $444 from twisted throttle. It was too good a deal to pass up. They had a pair of 37 liter on sale for $430. No rack yet and no top trunk... that can wait for a bargain as well.
I am keeping an open mind about the NC in that I am stepping back from a Goldwing and three ST's before that. Wanted something "universal" that can do a little bit of everything. So far I'm happy with it and not expecting it to excel at everything. I'm still in the discovery stages of this...
Yesterday was the longest ride yet on the new bike. Coming off a touring bike... the secondary and forest service roads were beckoning me. Let's just say I really didn't know what I was getting myself into... like others have posted, the suspension needs some adjustment... way to harsh. The...
I had a similar application years ago on a Honda ST1100. Instead of gluing magnets on the underside of the tank cover, I glued fender washers... flat with a lot of surface area. It worked perfectly for a small bag... and no polarity issues.
