A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
Aside from the physics guys always pointing to the reverse current flow, which no one but them must care about,
YEA I was half asleep writing that.
Sorry for confusing anyone.
You have to measure, with a meter, the battery volts while pushing the starter button.
That is the cranking volts.
So just re-read your first post.
The draw test would have to be done on the positive terminal not the negative.
A battery "tender" or trickle charger is not used to bring a deeply discharged battery back to life.
You need a proper charger, not a car charger it would be to powerful, to do that.
A trickle charger is to keep your battery topped up at all times.
12.2 volts might be the best this battery will...
Posted that there is no power for a charger.
Best thing would be to take battery out and charge inside until needed.
IF the time period was to be over winter storage time!, then no you HAVE to take it inside!
Your post was for 3 weeks and at that time period you can leave it in and it will be...
The lights on the charger will only tell you that the voltage is what is required.
What it wont tell you is if the battery has the power, amps, to spin the motor.
That is what a load test will tell.
As a battery ages the ability of it to supply amps to turn the motor decreases to a point that is...
Not to pick on anyone -
Black ice is formed when the temps are in the negative numbers and lots of cars with their exhaust are on the road !
The exhaust and the weight of the tires cause a very very thin layer of ice to form.
And you cant see it.
Yea we get that here.
But is doesn't happen all...
Pretty - ?
Its ok.
Better than other "unique" /EV bikes I've seen lately!
Like the one that's see through - Fugly!
But I dont want one of these either.
Over $100 million in losses, and no I dont like the look in that picture above.
What an uncomfortable position! Put your arms down.
Unless that is how your arms must be from the handlebar position - then I dont want one!!
Ok , I don't need them here and I have filled in Wisconsin and I guess I don't remember them being there,
but I'm not putting a possibly gas smelling piece in my pocket, wallet, or anywhere else.
OK re-read you first post - You have a new battery.
Is it / did you fully charge it before using it?
Since its new it should easily last a month without use and still start the engine.
If you have no power to run a changer then, as I posted, just remove the negative lead to the battery.
It...
Also IF you did have a draining item on your bike and it cant survive 3 weeks, instead of bringing the battery inside, just remove the negative battery connection.
Simple!
And if your battery cant sit for 3 weeks like this and be functional, then you need a new battery.
Yea I heard / saw a similar writeup about the cost comparison.
Its going to be kind of like coffee and eggs.
One day they are good for you, the next day dont eat them they are bad for you!
With multi-millions of gas burning vehicles out there, even a steady 20% sales of EV over the next few...
You silly boys - Mines been parked since end of October.
We have over 3 feet on the ground, and although January has been warm - up to mid 30s, its not riding time until April, or maybe May this year!
Two wheels and ice - no thanks.
And then there's the salt that will get all over everything...
