No doubt about it. I know many riders who were in their middle age crazies stage, and start out on the big bikes that many think are the only bike that counts as a real motorcycle. It usually resulted in a banged up bike, or worse. I rode as a kid, stopped to raise my kids, then came back to...
He is/was looking for a standard height Seat Concepts, not a stock seat. I too had a unused stock seat and I remember he clarified in a July post. Hope that info helps.
Yeah, I didnt use the torque either ! I think you will find the NC as a kind of a jack of all trades type bike. It does a lot of things pretty well. And, there are lots of guys here with experience to help if you have questions.
Welcome Shiner ! I owned 3 Valkyrie's over the years and they are hard to beat for a smooth, comfortable ride. But, as you well know, it's a heavy bike. I went with the NC also. I think you will be well satisfied. Just dont expect 100 ft lbs of torque ! Lol.
Welcome ! I am from Tenn as well. I previoualy owned an FJR. What part of Tenn are you located ? Be glad to let you take my NC for a ride if we are anywhere close.

Have to agree with Sully here. Changed oil in all my bikes for 40+ years, never used a torque wrench and never had a problem result. Tight enough has worked for me.
What you did with the bike is provide an option for anyone who, for whatever reason, needs a little help to keep riding. That is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I leave my frunk key on the bike all the time. I understand its probably not for everyone. Odds are pretty good only other NC riders would know its a key or a frunk.
I have found that (for me) D mode only gets used on the highways where I am running 60+. Around town and on the curvy roads, its S mode or manually shifting. I find that the more I ride the DCT the more comfortable I get with it. I no longer grab for the clutch when I come to a stop.
