The staff at Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA were the nicest we've come across in a while. When we bought my husband's LT, everyone from the owner, to the salespersons, to the 50-75 BMW riders that came in just to hang out, were as friendly as could be. Every couple of minutes, someone would...
Dumped Progressive for GEICO because GEICO wanted half as much for full coverage. Even saved a few bucks on my husbands BMW K1200LT. Progressive thinks the NCX is a sportbike.

My first bike, so the DCT gave me the confidence to ride without the stress of learning the clutch and shifter operations at the same time.

The risers will work on the DCT. You will need to remove the brake line from the clip on the tree to have enough slack.

From the Great Smoky Mountain area, there are hundreds of great roads. We ordered some maps from AMERICA RIDES MAPS. They sell individual maps as well as packages. They specialize in making maps for motorcyclists........great curvy roads within little traffic. We were not disappointed with our...
I purchased my DCT ABS at the end of 2012, and we've been abnormally wet ever since.
We've had over 33" of rain so far this year. We normally have 41" for the whole year.
So.....that is my excuse for only putting 2000 miles on my X so far.
Hmmmmm........maybe ride to church...
The Battery Tender Jr. is basically a "maintainer". It will work fine for maintaining a charged battery. But a discharged battery will need a jump start or a battery "charger". May need to remove it and have it checked if it can't be jump started or revived with a battery "charger".
Great pics...thanks for sharing. My husband and I live in the Sandhills of NC and love to ride.
We have traveled to the beach on many occasions and mountains, as well.
The Outter Banks are on our Bucket List. We just haven't made it........yet!
But, we WILL.
What??? Unrest in the Middle East? Gas prices going up?
There is always unrest in the Middle East. There will ALWAYS be unrest in the Middle East.
Every since Hurricane Katrina, they found out that they can use ANY excuse at ANY time to increase gas prices.
They use FEAR to take advantage of...
My DCT has less than 2000 miles and I can only pray that it is as good a bike as my husband's BMW K1200LT.
It has almost 140,000 miles and the only issue has been a failed clutch almost 90,000 miles ago.
It has seen 35 out of our 50 states with comfort and amenities that would spoil anyone...
First time out with the guys. We were looking for a rest stop and I rode into a parking lot, passed the others and headed straight for an opening beside the conveinence store. Hit some gravel and the front wheel washed out on me. The Silver Streak falls gracefully though, only a minor ding to...
My husband has a Bilt Solar Modular helmet. It is well vented and an overall nice helmet. It can be purchased at Cycle Gear. The original price is $200, but when they have a sale on Bilt gear, it is 50% off. I have worn it on occasion and the only complaint I have is that is slightly noisier...
I ride on the front seat of my NC700X.
But when I ride on a back seat......it's my husbands BMW K1200LT.
I just spent 1200 miles back there on a 5 day vacation in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
What a blast.......best roads anywhere in the country!
