This past weekend I was invited to spend it riding with some BMW enthusiasts...aka BMW FANATICS!!! I am pretty certain if I did not know every single North Georgia dirt haven like the back of my hand, I would not have been invited:p. Hahaha no these guys are great but I mean come on, I ride a Honda...a 670cc Twin...a bike half price as theirs...a bike that is very unknown here in the US...and did I mention its a Honda. Anyway, I led this group around some of the best and some of the more difficult roads here in North GA. We had a SUPER time and the NC hung in there with them just fine. The only issue was my ground clearance BUT when the BMWs climbed, the NC followed. When the BMWs crossed deep waters, the NC followed. Where the BMWs went, the NC went. I was not as surprised as I was satisfied with the performance of the NC. Seeing the little girl hanging in there with those big expensive girls just kept bringing a smile to my face.

Oh...and dont get me started about when I told them my NC was a DCT model...wish I had the GoPro on for THAT conversation.

nice job. Never under estamate the nc700 dct. I lead most of are, off road rides, with ktm,s and gs bmw,s in tow, and when we stop, i always ask them if the pace is fast enough? They have never said, pick up the pace. Just make sure you have a good skid plate. Dale

Skid Plate is a MUST when off roading the NCs for sure. I really like mine and saves the bottom of my NC EVERY TIME I go out to ride. I do not think MY pace (or skill level) is good enough to lead smaller bikes and 2 of the guys in the video actually went to the BMW Eastern Qualifiers and placed 7th and 13th and I send them on ahead and just tel them to wait at intersections.

Thanks for posting. What got caught up underneath at the end of the first clip. Nothing serious I hope. I tried a DCT system on a 750 recently. Very good. I can see why it will be in use on the Africa Twin.

You are getting very good at these movies. I always thoroughly enjoy them. Many thanks again.

....my Fender Extender somehow got all caught up under the front tire after hitting the crater of a pot hole causing the awful sound. Scared me at first til I noticed what it was. I should be able to rig it back on with a little work.

The DCT is awesome! It will be hard to ever buy another bike with out it again. I am excited to see the DCT added to a bike such as the Africa Twin, wish my CRF250L had it!

Thanks for noticing the hard work put into the videos. I tried a little extra hard on these as I knew they would be shared around by the hoity toity BMW guys :p

I really enjoy your videos, also. At first I was also afaid to purchase a DCT, but now I wish I had one.

Thanks! (about the videos) ---- Yeah, I rode 350 miles round trip to buy my DCT...unseen and "unridden"...so lucky and glad I took a chance on the DCT. 6,500 miles later I can honestly say I have not been disappointed for one single mile.

Here are the full videos of the 1 Honda NC + 4/5 BMW GS's.........

Still to come is PART 5: The Big Finale -- where we stick these big bikes in places we should not...HaHaHa!

Part 5 is "The Grand Finale" of this video series and the end of two days of awesome riding with some awesome riders. We definitely saved the best and hardest for last as we tackle the hard side of Trey Mountain.

Awesome videos!

Although they do make it harder for me to convince myself I need an Africa Twin.

Wow! So that's what I'm supposed to be doing with a NC700? ;) I'm still getting a thrill running down the pavement. :)

Hahaha yeah...she is pretty fun down the pavement!!! BUT JUST THINK...the day you get tired of the payment on the old girl - all you gotta do is just swap out the tires - slap on a skid plate - and VoilAH...OFF ROAD YOU GO!!!

I hear ya...its all about what will you be doing off road. I love the NC soooo much that at first I didn't even consider the AT but when I saw the AT is about equal in weight and the DCT has more options in the AT...I began to dream....then BAM I saw the price tag and I fell in love with my NC all over again...HAHAHAHA!!!
