Swapped the stock front tire (dunlop d609) for a continental tkc 80. I like to ride a mix of gravel/dirt/paved roads...was looking for better traction on gravel. Only a few miles on the tkc, but I think I'm going to like it...as expected, more stable on gravel. Only slightly louder on pavement than the dunlop, but runs smooth and seems to handle well.

Rode around some backcountry roads and got some stunning views of Mt Tacoma (Ranier). The heat wave melted a whole lot of the snowpack. I can't remember it being so bare. It looks like a completely different mountain

Ran the tank down to the 'reserve'. Only got 81 miles a gallon. Must have gotten a little excited on those twisties.

on my 12' i achieved a best of 100.6 though i usually hung right there at 75-85mpg. It too me switching to a 17T/39T, 140/80-17 rear tire, tires at 36/42 and liberal oil on the chain. All documented here and on Fuely. I am not able to even get close to that with my 15' DCT :{p

Hopped on the bike yesterday at 1:30 pm and rode 450 miles to Two Wheels Only in north GA. Leaving late I necessarily arrived late and the last 20 miles climbing the mountains out of Dahlonega in pitch darkness was very spooky. There was a full moon but all the trees are in full leaf.

Looking forward to a couple of days in the mountains.

Yes, if I recall my best was 91 mpg on my 2012 with the original small windshield and no hand guards. Strict 45 mph and no stopping and no on/off throttle stuff.

Yesterday I got 55 on a tank at 80-85 mph using the throttle a lot in fairly heavy I-95 traffic. That's amazing too.

Leaving the campground the TPMS was blinking 26 psi in the rear. Gummy worm to the rescue.

My pump lacked an SAE adapter so I Macgivered it to inflate the tire.

It looks like you were well prepared to handle the tire puncture, from early warning system to having a repair solution. Good job.

Rode to Taco Mac last night with my buddy. Sat in traffic for about 1.5 hours in Chattanooga due to what I assume was one of the worst wrecks in Chattanooga history? Idk what was going on, but interstate was at a dead stand-still and it took us 1.5 hrs to go a few miles around it on a side road because of all the detouring traffic from I-24. What a mess it was, but oh so worth it when I bit into the first taco!
