Today's ride took me over 8,000 for the year, only 1,000 behind dduelin ;)

Nice pic.

No worries, you will probably catch me next week.

On today's ride I went on blinking reserve at 214 miles

anK2KYxh.jpg

I stopped to fill up at 232 miles after having used 2 +/10ths of the 7/10's reserve (figure it would have flipped to 3/10 in about 4 miles)

hhNvqdVh.jpg

it took 2.99 gals (of the 3.8 gal tank capacity) to refill

hcsLobzh.jpg

232 miles divided by 2.99 gals nets 77.59 mpg.

3.8 gals times 77.59 mpg could IN THEORY take it 294 miles ..but I wouldn't try it unless it was an emergency. I wouldn't be afraid to take it to 250 miles though lol

Good for you.

I have ran to 300 miles on a 3.7 gallon tank twice, and around 290 twice. If the mileage is good, she can do it. Looking through my Fuelly records, I went 250 or more miles on a tank on 33 occasions, and 240+ miles on 57 occasions. Familiarity with the bike, and having a little spare gas along in a Rotopax can or MSR bottle relieves the stress if running deep into reserve, but on this NC I have never needed to actually use the spare gasoline.

Wow, that's awesome.

I see that your Nc was in Standard mode. Do you believe/know if that is more economical than leaving it in Sport mode.

I belive it would be as the rpms are generally lower at any given speed in std than in sport. Rain mode might be even more economical.

For those of you near Hershey, PA, I will be doing this charity ride for Ariella Coyne on June 25th. Please check out the link & see if you are interested. It definitely pulls at your heartstrings.

Jeez, I blinked at 160 today.

All week I have been racking 70mpg, which has been way up from my 50-55mpg with the new decat pipe(loose but behind the bars). Today I rode 191 miles up and around N/E Washington. In the torrential down pours and then sunny breaks and repeat. I managed 73.4mpg today at the end of the ride. Pretty impressive with as many times as I throttled hard through the DCT gears passing slow cars and travel trailers lol.

I visited Beaver Lodge/Thomas Lake, Ione, Metaline And Metaline Falls/Box Canyon.

Wonderful Father's Day ride, 12 geezers. The NC continues to impress. Look at the hardware in this group…GS1200, me, Ninja ZX14, Goldwing, GS, KTM 1290, FJR, GS, Concours 14, S1000XR, and R1200RT. These guys ride fast, big motors, and the NC just plugs along no problem. I love the bike a little more every time I ride with the big dogs.

I rode from my house outside Williston Florida up to Horseshoe beach. I stopped in Bronson to top off the tank. I had 132 miles on the odo and it took 1.8 gallons for 73mpg average.

The tank before was 72mpg. I was more agressive riding up to Cross City and over to Horseshoe, I will be curious on the mpg the next fill-up.
