They called for massive storms and tornadoes and hail for us last night... got people all worried... we had some sprinkles, a bit of thunder and lightning...
A tornado did touch down about 45 minutes north of me, have not heard yet if there was any damage.

I'm in the Mississippi river valley, and here in La Crosse we have a valley to the west and one to the east that all meet and it seems that most storms get filtered off to the north or south around us.

The two highlighted areas are big valleys that spur off of the main north south river valley.

Yea, the weather people sure like to scare the bejesus out of people with worst case scenarios. Whether its rain or snow or heat or wind. Being a daily rider I'm pretty much a weather watching nut, TV, PC, phone and just staring up at the sky lol. Sometimes they are right, most times it seems they are very wrong, at least locally for us. Right now @ 4:35 pm the early news has us under a severe T-storm warning and its 77 degrees and sunny out, sky is blue and white clouds.

Day 90 .... managed to get in a ride in between rains this morning. 51 miles @ 65 degrees and overcast on partially damp roads. One of the wettest Aprils we've had. On the news last night, they said we were 2 1/2" above average for the month...and it isn't done yet.
April showers bring May flowers :)

Day 95. ... closed out the month of April... 56 miles @ 72 degrees and overcast

Ended the month having ridden 26 of 30 days (lost 4 days in a row to torrential rain at the beginning of the month which caused major flooding here) 124 miles on the CB, 1125 miles on the NC for 1,249 miles total for the month
Year to date 95 out of 120 days ridden ....332 miles on the CB, 3795 miles on the NC for 4,127 miles total.

Day 96 ... rained hard last night, and heavy thunderstorms predicted again for this afternoon, so got out for a 45-mile ride this morning between the rains at 72 degrees under cloudy skies on partially damp roads

Another beautiful snow free day here in SE Pennsylvania. I headed out west for an all day ride making a loop through the Amish, Mennonite, and Moravian areas in Berks and Lancaster counties. Rode past two of the oldest taverns in the area. Shanks Tavern, 1814, the oldest in Pennsylvania and Bube's Brewery, 1867. What a nice day to be out and about. Rain is forecasted for six of the next 7 days. Getting the yard work done today before the rain moves in. 186 miles for the day.

Day 97.... beat the rain home by 15 minutes. yea! Finished working out a new loop today, which included 5 roads I don't normally ride which turned out to be real nice roads. From the end of my driveway, it's only 36 miles long, but I counted 302 curves in the loop. Fun loop! Anyhow 73 degrees and overcast for today's ride.

Day 98 ..... rained off and on all day today. Got over 2" in the rain gauge. Finally quit about 6 pm. Waited until 7:30 pm and got in 34 miles before dark at 55 degrees and overcast on mostly damp roads.

Day 99 ... another crummy day. 42 miles @ 57 degrees with light intermittent sprinkles for today's ride. I'm so tired of cold and rain!

Day 100 .... met up with forum member Donk who was riding thru town from Wi to Va on his V 1100 Mandello Moto Guzzi and rode with him as far as Maysville KY before turning north and taking a different route home...137 miles @ 67 degrees and partly sunny

Cool! I was hoping to see his NT1100 😂

Added a Shad SH45 top box, took about a month and a half to get it in. I bought it on ebay from Shad in Miami as a shelf model. So I got it for $100 but then waited that long for them to get the rack mount. And then once they shipped it all, they forgot the mounting plate... All good now and steep discount on all of it.
