My previous remark that according to the Service Manual that the VSS sensor has no effect on engine operation requires additional clarification. It does not affect engine operation but does, of course, together with the Front Wheel Speed Sensor (ABS) affect DCT operation.
(If there's any excuse for me, maybe it's that I caught the spring flu since yesterday and I'm having trouble thinking clearly)
