Andreani Cartridges - A Warning

Yes - I have read your posts on the Andreani saga with some alarm Griff. I have been reading on Racetech's site why they prefer linear fork springs and my suspension specialist at first suggested those to improve the 2016 Showa harshness. He reckons K-tech springs properly matched to my weight and style would 'only' cost about £80. I might try that route first as I'm not sure whether the dual bending valve technology would work with emulators would it?

I had good luck with cogent ddc and proper single rate springs. YMMV

I have the DDC emuators on my NC with a Nitron Sport on the back. The DDC has made the front suspension a lot better. The only issue I have is with the rebound damping. The Spectro 5w seems to be too light. It's not horrible but it could be better. When I change the oil next time I will probably up it to 7.5w or maybe a mix of 5w and 7.5w.

The DDC is not designed to use heavier oil and you may find yourself back in the stock state of too much high speed compression damping. Call cogent and ask how you can get more rebound control. They have alway been very helpful to me.

The 'W' notation to oil means nothing. Instead consult charts like this.

The DDC can have the shim stack altered to match your oil choice. The DDC has no ability to tune rebound. It's just a spring-loaded bypass plate in that direction.
