Didn't know the TAT made it to Alaska. ;)
AFAIK, there is only one in AR,
But you figured it out[emoji2]
As I corrected my glove typing.

Hank,
I PMd you but posting is faster.
Camping in great salt plains state park. Headed back on the trail to Trinidad tomorrow.

Sorry our timing was not good. I'll pm you if we decide to stop by those two spots you suggested on our return leg.
I rode in and out of the TAT in the last part of OK, but today it was was all dry and fast gravel. Not much fun to ride.
Let's see what NM will bring...

Oklahoma has some very fine rides, like the Talimena drive and the Salina Spavinaw road, but the TAT concept doesn't work well here. Most everything off road is either a dead end or a grid road.

Oklahoma has very little public land. It was settled by land hungry impoverished farmers, who farmed almost every square inch at one point.

AWOL off the TAT, until we regroup in Ouray.
We split up near Pueblo CO.
I prefer a more faster ride with quick changing scenery.
Can't wait to ride thru/over some Colorado Passes.
Hey check out this video I made with Quik: Day 7&8 - Quik by GoPro

Another zero mile day in UT,
At the 3 Step Hideaway
Beautiful place owned by a fellow rider.
I shipped new tires here to change out the worn set.
There is also a fully equipped workshop that travellers can use
for a small fee.

Riding the WRT in Moab was my best time on this trip.

I hit some deep sand south of Green River, UT and got extracted via my Spot towing service, since there was no reliable cell service.
Impossible to go back nor go forward as I got lost out there.

PS. This marks my end of 2017 TAT run. [emoji3]

After the ordeal in the sand, I've decided to abandon the TAT and continue on mostly pavement, to Seattle.

I made my way north seeking relief from the high temp oven aka Utah.
Made camp in Starvation State CG near Fruitland, ID

PS.
The irony (starvation) was that my dinner that I hung off of the luggage rack got dislodged on the way to camp and lost;
I was truly starved [emoji3]

I stopped at my favorite vendor, but they were closed for the day
Rode to Boise ID.
Motel 8
A split level motel, my first.
My window, above the bike.

Then super-slabbed it to Seattle for R&R.
An unmarked car gave me the "welcome to WA" entry ticket.
The haze from the NW fires was prevalent from Boise all the way to Seattle.

Remote mountain cabin in Montana
The haze is worse here than ever too, people in northwestern states have been making comparisons to when Mount Saint Helens blew. Here in my area and much of Montana the air quality index has gotten pretty close to the HAZARDOUS category a number of times, usually riding pretty high in the EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY category. Gets pretty hot later in the day too. We got a respite a number of days back so I got some riding in, but right now it's good to see some pictures from other parts of your ride.

Thanks for the info. I am just enjoying myself with family in Bellevue for the time being.
Hoping this weather will improve in a few days, so I can start my real trip home.
The TAT did not disappoint but most of the time there was just too much of the same gravel and dust.
Also, I decided I like riding better when solo and not having to play TAT tour guide to a yankee tourist. LOL

After a few days of rest in Seattle, it was time to start riding back home.
.
Found a reasonable travel path around the numerous forest fires and road blocks to Spokane, WA

I was smokin'

Big zero. It was for OR or NV but went to neither, thus it was just to impress. LOL
I had the best CG near Helena:
