At 137,000 miles, 13,000 miles early, I decided to change the DCT oil, in my car. It was a bit difficult to reach the drain and fill plugs, but with the car raised off the ground and the left wheel removed, I got it done. It uses only 2 quarts but the oil sells for almost $20/quart.

I sure wish motorcycles had service intervals this long.

Hi Greg. What vehicle was that? Noticed the four bolt axle.
Ford Fiesta.

Starting now on proactive timing belt, serpentine belt, and water pump and coolant replacements. Changed brake fluid yesterday.

Very industrious! Is the water pump related to the timing chain replacement? Might as well as long as I have it out kind of thing? That power bleeder from Northern tool works really well. Cheap too.

Water pump replacement requires removal of the timing belt, I believe. The pump is not expensive, so may as well change it while I can.

For bleeding brake fluid, I employ the wife to push the brake pedal while I crack open the brake bleeder valve. We have done it as a team many, many times.
