Dash panel melting prevention?

For anybody afraid of dash panel melting by sun's IR reflection from windscreen - this might be a partial solution - GlareStomper 320 GPS Sun Shade - $17.22.
I noticed that screen reflection curvature is pretty high, 15-21", so painting of bottom part of screen wouldn't help much.
In some conditions, with taller screens and sun lower in the sky, concentration of sun rays may reach bottom of panel. Just add more shade.

Interesting, maybe after my old pillow case wears out I'll give that a try.

I use the plastic from a "report cover".... it's waterproof, easy to work, and cheap.

No glue. I wrap one inch wide piece of that velcro ribbon stuff that is soft on one side and rough on the other... I have to pull it tight about once every year.

Basically the same idea.
It's made from layered woven polyester with wire on edge to keep shape and velcro.
Whatever it takes to keep display panel from damage.
