Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (2022 DGR) Smashes Global Funding Record

Ah, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (or DGR).

The world’s most debonair, donation-based riding organization, devoted to raising money for prostate cancer awareness and mens’ mental health.

This year’s post-pandemic corps d’elite was impressive, to say the least – and we have a source showing that, when it comes to the figure for funds raised, DGR yoiked it out of the park…quite literally.

A beauty of an article courtesy of Motorcycle.com states that 2022’s ride succeeded in raising close to $6 million USD this year, punting previous records out of the proverbial water (and beating last year’s donation amount by a clear 47%).

“On Sunday 5th June, when the fundraising closed, a new global fundraising record for The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was established,” celebrates Motorcycle.com.

“93,456 riders in 802 cities, spread across 104 countries, dressed dapper and rode their classic motorcycles raising close to $6M USD to support prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.”

“In the United States and Canada, 14,233 riders from 183 cities raised almost $2.5 million USD. This represents over one third of the donations globally.”

The fantastic news comes alongside a small hint of what’s to come next year; with 2023 purportedly celebrating ten glorious years of Triumph supporting The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride as the main partner and sponsor, we’re anticipating a trim, well-dressed, sleek beastie to join Triumph’s ranks.
