I've been with my black NC700x for few months. I check the forum few days per week, but never think that I can help or answer a question. I took the photo (on day when I registered with DMV) so happy to help and join to the forum.

Where are you from Mig? It might be that bikes in different locations might have different features?

I have the year/model in question and mine has it. I did not think anything of it until I hit the road and found it is a nice thing to have, especially with an engine so quiet.

In the picture posted above, it is the blank box, blank because it is in neutral. If you are in gear, you see: 1,2,3... in the box.
